27/10/2024: Extraordinary place, such amazing food! Family and friends, group of 6. Two steak boards and WOW what show stoppers. We had 3 courses and every dish was perfect, portions generous. Only thing I would say is they (and other Porches restaurants we noticed) undercook on the steaks, we are all fans of a rare steak but these were more blue! Exceptional quality steak so no issues but my friend ordered medium and that was more akin to rare!

26/10/2024: Excellent portugues restaurant. Very good food and service. Don’t miss it. We had some tapas and it was generous. A lot of food. We’ll be back for sure.

05/10/2024: My wife and I went to this restaurant on a Friday night with our 3 year old daughter. When we walked past earlier in the week we were told that my daughter would eat for free - “the princess does not pay” were the exact words from the waiter with the American accent. When we got there at 6pm we were told the Rodízio doesn’t start until 6.30pm, slightly annoying but understandable. We were offered bread and butter which we accepted. With the bread we were also given cheese, ham and carrots. We ate the cheese and ham but not the carrots. The Rodizio was nice, although there were quite big gaps between the waiters offering each meat. When we were finished and asked for the bill it was nearly 100 euros (my wife and I were only drinking soft drinks). We were charged for the 6 euros for the cheese (which we didn’t order), 5 euros for the ham (which we didn’t order), 6 euros for the carrots (which we didn’t order or eat) and 4 euros for the bread and butter (fair enough). However we were also charged 10 euros for my 3 year old daughter despite being told that she would eat for free. I decided to query only the 10 euros for my daughter and ignore the extra 20 euros charged for my items that we hadn’t ordered. I asked 2 of the serving staff to change the bill but they suddenly pretended not to understand English. Eventually, the manager came over and I explained that the waiter (who was standing 10 yards away trying to get new customers into the restaurant) had said that my daughter would eat for free. I was immediately told that she”he would never say that” and that the waiter had seen my daughter eating lots of food (she is a fussy 3 year old who ate a small amount of rice and bread - that was paid for separately). I asked the manager to speak to the waiter who said that my daughter would eat for free but he kept refusing to bring him over to discuss it. After an awkward 10 minute conversation the manager eventually agreed to remove the 10 euros for my daughter’s meal. I didn’t bother complaining about the the ham, cheese and carrots. Overall the food was a 7/10 but the service was absolutely terrible. 27 euros for the rodizio is fair enough but the extras that we didn’t ask for were ludicrous.

26/09/2024: Excellent meal. Two different fillets and staff explained each option. Very attentive. Will be back. Mixed grill looks amazing!

03/10/2024: We went here for my husband birthday, we had often passed it on holiday but hadn’t tried it until now & we are very glad we did, in fact we have booked to go again. The staff were very friendly and professional. My husband likes his steak well done, no pink at all, we explained to the waiter to take a perfectly lovely piece of steak and ruin it! Based on previous experience we expected to be sending it back to be cooked more but we were very pleasantly surprised to find the steak was cooked to perfection, exactly as requested. I would recommend this restaurant & in particular the crème brûlée which I will be having again!

27/09/2024: Top class food. Top class service. We visit this restaurant every holiday and we are never disappointed. Are looking forward to our next visit.

06/10/2024: Decided to try here after reading positive reviews on here and glad we did. The food was lovely. Steak was cooked beautifully and prices were very reasonable. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for some good quality food.

24/09/2024: fantastic steaks and great value, we went to O Farnel 3 times and it did not disappoint .the service was really good as well, I would recommend a visit here

30/10/2024: The service was excellent, our chateaubriand was delicious, and the lighting and decor provided a cozy, warm atmosphere. The port afterwards was also very appreciated. Just a few minutes walk from the main strip, it was also an ideal location. We look forward to visiting again

26/08/2024: Depois de 1 hora de espera na mesa preguntei se avia problema Com nossa mesa pk não fomos servidos , resposta muinto mal : Q o momento d Instalação avisarem q era 45 min d espera . 1 ninguém aviso 2 ja passarem mais de 70 minutos 3 a maneiras de falar p cliente Esta escrito na carts certo mostrarem depois mas como era rodízio não vimos a carta .

05/08/2024: This is a great restaurant if you have the appetite. We’ve had the Rodizio menu which is slices of meat on skewers and they just kept coming and coming. Amazing servers and great food. Good value for money.

28/09/2024: This is the 2nd time we’ve had lunch here in the last couple of weeks and once dinner and each time superb and we will be back.

23/09/2024: Been here a few times over the years and it is definitely my favourite now. Everything about the place is just brilliant. The food, the friendly staff, the surroundings... For a number of dinners I stuck to the same thing- steak on a stone- delicious and good fun. Recently I have gone mad and had their Rodizio. However, last night I tried their Pork and Clams. Wow! It is the best dish I have had in years. For the standard and quality of food the pricing is very reasonable. As are their wines. At the time of writing a bottle of house was €13. As you may guess I highly recommend a visit.

07/09/2024: Não gostei muito da comida daqui. A sadine grelhada estava na média. O bife, no entanto, estava mal preparado. A carne estava muito dura e não gostamos nada. O serviço foi bom.

02/11/2024: Our second time here this week and it was just as delicious! The fillet steak again was just perfect and one of the best steaks I’ve had. Dessert I had the brownie with chocolate mousse and coffee ice cream which was such an amazing collection of flavours! I highly recommend if you’re in the area.

30/10/2024: We love this restaurant! The food is great as is the ambience, nice and relaxed, but the staff are just spot on and make a great eating experience a fantastic one. I would never have tried steak tartare had it not been included in a Valentines meal offer back in February this year at Manzos, now I can’t get enough!! But the bau bun was nice too! Tried a sharing chateau briand with creamed spinach and truffle chips…smashing!! Afterw was cheese board for Mrs D and sticky toffee pudding for me (OMG Small but perfect) plenty of toffee sauce and gorgeous ice cream. A couple of bottles of wine, coffee and tip 185€ and they provided a lovely tawny port to finish! Worth every penny, what a great place to eat, thank you!!

18/11/2024: Also bitte Frühstück und Mittagessen weg lassen. Für die ewigen Nörgler die sich die Frage stellen warum 2 verschiedene Preise angeboten werden, hier die Realität. Das "extra" meat Angebot hat NICHTS mit besserem Fleisch zu tun sondern bezieht sich EXKLUSIV auf Fleisch, wogegen das etwas billigere Angebot auch Geflügel....beinhaltet. Glaubt mir, die billigere Variante lässt NICHTS zu wünschen offen. Die Getränke sind spottbillig. Das Personal, freundlich und kommt ständig mit den Grillspezialitäten an den Tisch solange der Holzkegel grün zeigt. Bei Pause, einfach umdrehen.

06/10/2024: Wir haben uns für das Rodízio entschieden. Für uns die beste Wahl brasilianisch zu essen. Das Buffet bietet alles was das Herz begehrt. Dazu gab es Fleisch (Rind, Hänchen, Schwein) heiß, saftig, kross und frisch vom Spieß am Tisch geschnitten. Alles auf den Punkt gegrillt. Einfach perfekt. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Sehr gut. Auch der Nachtisch wurde direkt am Tisch serviert. Einfach nur lecker. Dazu gab es einen Liqueur 43 traditionell eingeschenkt. Wir hatten einen tollen Abend in großartiger Atmosphäre. Leider haben wir vor lauter staunen vergessen mehr Bilder zu machen. Vielen Dank.

24/09/2024: As a dedicated steak lover thought it was only right to try this place out. Firstly got to say excellent value for money on all levels. Unfortunately by the time we arrived they were out of Wagu. However we opted for a fillet and a T-bone steak both were delicious melt in the mouth steaks which came exactly as ordered. So impressed will be back in a couple of days .

04/09/2024: Comida maravilhosa, atendimento excelente extremamente simpáticos e atenciosos , ambiente fantástico, sem dúvida dos melhores restaurantes do algarve ! Recomendo vivamente uma óptima experiência!

17/10/2024: Oh lala, quelle excellente surprise !! Nous cherchions un resto typique hors de la zone touristique. Après avoir lu quelques avis, direction cette taverne familiale à une quinzaine de minutes d'Olhao. Tout était excellent à prix raisonnable. Cuisine maison et ambiance souriante, on a adoré :-)

27/09/2024: This is one of our favourite places to eat in the Algarve. I have been there 6 times this year and have never had a bad meal or a poor dining experience. Our grandchildren love going there they call it the "cat restaurant". All our friends love it. It is a friendly, happy place with good food at a very reasonable price.

03/04/2024: Esperei muito pela comida e uma porção de frango estava um pouco exagerada. As azeitonas estavam sem gosto e as fatias de pão eram muito finas. Arroz e batatas fritas eram adoráveis

22/10/2024: Recommend by a local friend, 8 of us Royaly looked after by fantastic staff &Junior the chef & Boss. large prawns & wagu steak, great wine. Would definitely recommend and return.
