09/03/2024: Um restaurante sufrivel para desenrascar. Prego no prato é um prato básico e por isso podia ser mais em conta o bife era tenro e as batatas fritas estavam boas. Atendimento simpático e atencioso. Preços médios alto vs qualidade. Ambiente espaçoso e do género familiar.

08/10/2024: The food was terrible and prices high. We had the “ prawn hotdog” to start. They didn’t explain we got two each which was more than we wanted. Each one had exactly 1 prawn in it sliced in half to look like two. Each order cost 17 euro. We then shared seafood rice which was some tasteless rice with 4 whole prawns in it and a bunch of those very small clams. It was a rainy windy night so we were indoors. The location by the river is the only reason to go to this restaurant. We unfortunately didn’t enjoy the location due to the weather.

24/09/2024: We stumbled upon Taberna do Rio after finding the restaurant we intended to go closed. We had just finished our Douro boat tour. We were seated right away but a very welcoming and friendly server. We both had the Tuna salad. It was very good and just what we were Looking for. The meal was expensive compared to other restaurants, but this isn’t surprising since they are located in an area with throngs of tourists doing biat trips.
