23/10/2024: Eergisteren ook hier geweest voor te eten het was zo goed en gezellig dat we nog maar eens terug zijn gegaan. Alles op de menukaart is heerlijk. Echt een aanrader en de oudere gastheer is super.
22/10/2024: Wandering around this part of the resort my twin brother and I chanced upon this great looking restaurant and what a great time we had.
A great looking restaurant, interior is superb, beautiful decor and furnishings, an eye catching serving bar dominates the main room, lots of seating options spread throughout this restaurant both inside and outside in their beer garden, its just a really good restaurant to chill out in.
We sat outside on a beautiful and very warm October night, we ordered bottles of beer from Central De Cervejas Brewery ( Sagres beer ) and these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling, we chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular restaurant.
This is one of the big beer brands of Portugal, a golden, light and hoppy lager style beer bursting with taste and very easy to drink especially when served freezing cold as in this restaurant, its hardly surprising that this restaurant is so popular with beers served in this good and I must say the meals leaving the kitchen looked and smelt delicious, I must have a meal here next time I'm in Albufeira.
We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting for a first time visit to Martinique Restaurant we were totally impressed.
Martinique Restaurant is easy to locate along Avenida Dr Francisco Sa Carniero.
Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Garfolandia - Blues Bar

29/09/2024: Garfolandia on Av.Sá Carneiro is a brilliant snack-bar that offers an excellent range of food and drinks and was a superb place to visit for a few beers.
Located in a superb area were there's lot's of pub/bars and restaurant's'this excellent snack-bar has a nice look and feel with lots of good seating areas and a terrace which was full when we visited here.
We visited here in the night and it was fairly busy but it didn't take us long to get served as the staff are superb.When we visited me and my twin had a few bottle's of beer from the Super Bock brewery which where really refreshing and were very well priced.
It's a superb snack-bar in a superb area of Albufeira and its a snack-bar thats worth a visit if your around this area.(This is my first review of Garfolandia Snack-Bar).

30/10/2024: Been going to this restaurant for dinner every night whilst on holidays for over a decade. What a super place. We've had everything on the menu over the years and never a disappointment, staff are excellent, polite and helpful. Prices are great considering the experience. Do yourself a huge favour and visit, you will not be disappointed.
23/10/2024: We zijn 3 weken in Olhos 'd Aqua geweest en hebben steeds in restaurants gegeten. Hier kwamen we echt heel naar vandaan en dat lag vooral aan de bediening. Er kon echt geen enkel vriendelijk woordje vanaf. De garnalencoctail bestond uit een glas rood gekleurd water. Daarboven lag een klein schaaltje met veel sla en saus met 6 kleine garnaaltjes. En dat voor €9.95.
De lamskoteletjes (vol met harde stukjes) en de portugese tonijn (te lang gebakken) vonden we ook niet geweldig.
De mensen die naast ons zaten kregen bij het afrekenen een glaasje port maar wij kregen niks. We hadden spijt van de fooi die we hadden gegeven maar dat zijn we gewend.
Hier komen we dus nooit meer terug.

Pastelaria O Cantinho

23/10/2024: My twin brother and I were heading to Albufeira Old Town when we decided to drop by Pastelaria O Cantinho ,been here before on previous holidays to this sun drenched resort, always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit.
A great looking bar, interior is superb, a traditional Portuguese bar,glass fronted serving counters showcase the goodies on offer ,lovely decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar both inside and outside, its just a really good bar to unwind in.
We sat outside as temperatures were hitting 30 degrees Celsius, we ordered a Beirao each ,this is the famous Portuguese liquor that is just so tasty, we chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our drinks.
This is one of the drinks I most associate with Portugal, its such a delicious drink,so tasty, it was just so good being in such a lovely bar enjoying a quality brew and sat with my twin brother, best beer companion in the world.
We both really enjoyed our bierao's in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time.
Pastelaria O Cantinho is easy to locate along Rua Pedro Alvares Cabral.
Opening hours are;
Monday to Saturday, 8.30am till 10pm.
Sunday, closed.
Well worth checking out if you're in the area.
02/10/2024: On R.Pedro Álvares Cabral there is a good pastelaria that offer well priced meals and a superb range of hot and cold drinks.Its a fantastic pastelaria and one we've been to before many years ago.
It has a pristine well kept interior with many interesting fixtures and features and really good seating option's throughout its whole interior and a brilliant outside terrace and it was busy when we visited here.
When we visited here we had a few glasses of Licor Bierão's which where fantastic and were really well priced.Its a fantastic place to visit as is this area as the staff are really friendly and helpful and its a pastelaria we will visit again.(This is my first reviews of the Pastelaria O Cantinho).

28/03/2024: Ótimo bar irlandês. Uma das melhores Guinness que já tive. Além dos que tivemos na Irlanda, este lugar está perfeito. Uma equipe brilhante do bar e um grande músico que não era apenas extremamente talentoso, mas também engraçado e interativo.
Não posso recomendar este lugar o suficiente. Éramos um grupo muito grande, mas eles nos hospedaram e nos trataram muito bem. Grandes adereços para a equipe do bar de lá. Mesa de sinuca também e uma área externa brilhante bem na faixa de Albufera. Estará de volta com certeza. 💚

Pastelaria Requinte e tentaçaoes

28/12/2023: Minha esposa e eu nos sentamos em um terraço ao ar livre para celebrar o lindo pôr do sol que você vê de lá. Bebemos alguns copos de Vino Verde com gás, que custava apenas 1,30 o copo na torneira. A garçonete era tão agradável e tinha uma maneira adorável e um lindo sorriso. .

01/04/2024: Ótimo restaurante na Marina, achei que havia poucas opções disponíveis em comparação com alguns lugares que visitei aqui, mas toda a comida era absolutamente ótima. Os funcionários são muito simpáticos e prestativos, e a comida chegou em um momento muito bom, especialmente quando se considera nossa família de 8 pessoas.
Bela vista da marina e dos barcos se você estiver sentado do lado de fora como estávamos.

01/09/2024: Viemos almoçar com 2 cachorros pequenos. Fomos calorosamente recebidos e recebemos um lugar agradável no terraço. O menu é muito diversificado e também multilingue.
O serviço foi muito amigável e bom. Comemos uma cataplana de peixe e sangria, além de pequenas entradas e sobremesas. Tudo estava muito saboroso e recomendado.

26/10/2024: My twin brother and I were exploring around this part of the resort when we decided to drop by Toca Do Coelho ,been here before on previous holidays to this sun drenched resort, always had a good time here and so it proved on our latest visit.
A great looking snack bar ,interior is superb, light and airy, a cool looking serving bar dominates the main room, eclectic decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this cafe bar both inside and outside, its just a really good bar to unwind in.
We sat outside were we chilled out, we got bottles of beer from Central De Cervejas Brewery ( Sagres beer ) and these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling, we planned out the day ahead while sipping our beers.
A big fan of this most famous of Portuguese beers, its a beer perfect for the hot climate out here along the Algarve, its a golden lager style beer bursting with taste and very easy to drink especially when served freezing cold as in this bar, it was just so good being in such a lovely bar enjoying a quality brew and sat with my twin brother, best beer companion in the world.
We both really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to Toca Do Coelho we had a great time.
Toca Do Coelho is easy to locate along Estrada De Santa Eulalia, a street and area teeming with pubs, bars, cafe's and restaurants.
Well worth checking out if you're in the area.
