28/04/2024: I came for dinner on my birthday. It was memorable. And it was so because it was so much more than a wonderful, delicious meal. For starters, we called almost at 10pm on a Saturday night, because another place lost our reservation. Come! Come! they kindly said. Well, you made a bitter birthday a magic one.
The whole staff, from Carina at the reception, to the kitchen, to the sommelier, to the table attendance, simply raises the bar of hospitality and professionalism. Warm, helpful, yet not intrusive. Perfect. You all are the restaurant: a big thank you!
The food was exquisite, loved the smoked eel, the stone bass. The green curry was savory and well balanced. The pineapple dessert was a fireworks feast for the palate.

02/09/2024: It’s a stunning location, we couldn’t believe there were so few people at this beach / lagoon spot a little off the beaten track.
The beach restaurant has a sort of 90s/2000s Goan vibe about it (which is ironic since it’s called Lagoa o Mar), a bit rough around the edges but super relaxed, with chilled house music, a great cocktail menu and a menu mix of seafood and typical beach cafe fare.
It has the feeling that it’d be really fun at night but there’s hardly any accommodation nearby so we’re guessing daytime’s where it’s at here.
Food-wise, we ordered the local clams in garlic sauce and bread with a burrata salad, three huge, sensational burgers and two lots of the best fries ever served with home-made garlic mayo. And a bottle of the local white wine with water and soft drinks.
Bill was €92.
We’ve had some really great meals on this holiday but this was the first one we felt compelled to write a review for.
You’ll thank us for making the diversion to head here if you’re looking for a chilled afternoon of beautiful burger-coma’d laziness on the beach.
And the lagoon.

20/08/2024: Dia 20/8/2024. Pedido de almoço. Aceitaram pedido de Tosta trio e depois avisam que não tinham tomate. Questinado pedido de hambúrguer, que na descrição também tinha tomate, não tinham hambúrguer. Perante indignação os 2 funcionários e a pergunta sobre obque há e de que deviam descpntar preço dos ingredientes em falta, os funcionarios começaram a rir entre si e a responder " não sabemos se temos 100 ou 200 clientes". Foi pedido livro de reclamações que foi recusado

Boa comida e boa sangria! Aconselho hambúrguer Portobelo e as batatas fritas com casca são óptimas!!
