07/06/2024: Came upon this on the top of the mountain above Monchiqe. Locally sourced ingredients making home made Portuguese food delicious. Owner very friendly. Popular with the locals and very good value considering the quality of the food.

29/09/2024: We hadn’t visited this restaurant for a number of years and the venue didn’t disappoint! Still very pretty and an enchanting garden at the back of the restaurant, quiet and very beautiful! Our drinks came very quickly and we opted for mains, no starters, as we’d promised ourselves a dessert on this occasion! One of us continued with cocktails, whilst the other enjoyed a red wine as advised by the sommelier - a Portuguese delightful full bodied wine! However, although there were a lot of staff in attendance, our main course took 1.5 hours to arrive, it was delicious, but perhaps we were so hungry by then, we didn’t really appreciate it to its fullest delectability!! A shame! The “chef’s surprise” dessert though was worth every sinful mouthful, we shared the whole delicious treat! Thank you for a lovely evening, perhaps there was a problem in the kitchen on this occasion? We would like to return, but not have to wait until we were “hangry” next time 😉

23/09/2024: This Restaurant can only be described as fantastic, we have been coming for years and it never disappoints. The Family have owned this Restaurant for years and are really passionate about serving first class food which is always served with a smile. It has a lovely courtyard setting with a pretty garden for pre-dinner drinks.
