21/01/2025: This restaurant has a good reputation, and everyone talks about it with a "wow!" It is located in the countryside, with a small covered outdoor area and a main indoor space. We went there with a couple of friends. We were recommended to order the goat dish, which one of us did. Strangely, the pot, which was completely full, was filled with bones but had hardly any meat! The service was okay but nothing special. I am sure some of the meat dishes are great, but we were not very impressed. We had some dessert, which was also not very impressive. But I must add, this is pretty much the standard in Madeira. While the food is fresh and made from natural ingredients, culinary culture is not the first thing that impresses in Madeira.
19/01/2025: Infelizmente fomos muito mal recebidos. Arrogancia do sr. que nos sentou. Inclusice disse que "tínhamos todo sorte em conseguir disponibilidade' quando perguntamos se poderiamoa ter uma outra mesa..
Não espero ter de ter sorte para ser recebido num restaurante, muito menos acho que o restaurante tem a sorte em me ter como cliente.
Lá tentatei esperar pelo dia (espero que não chegue) em que entre o fazer uma reservacde vespera o ser atendido e comer bem não seja uma questão de sorte mas normalidade.

27/12/2024: Rindfleisch war nicht zu schneiden und zu genießen. 3 Garstufen Pommes gab es dazu, wohl alles was da war nochmal erhitzt oder zu jeder Fleischsorte eine Sorte. Die gleichen Gerichte der Einheimischen sahen liebevoller angerichtet aus und die Teller konnten geleert werden. Einmal und nie wieder!
24/11/2024: Sehr gutes Essen. Das Geschnetzelte mit Sauce und Pommes war top, die drei Fleischsorten meiner Freundin auch auf den Punkt. Das Rind war perfekt gebraten. Für mich nach 4 Tagen und einigen Lokalen das beste Essen in dem kleinen Marktbereich von Santa Cruz (Geschmack und Portionsgrösse).

09/02/2025: La Terraça ist ein Restaurant in dem man sich wohlfühlt, hervorragend isst, mit besonders sympathischem Personal! Man kann in der offenen Küche die Herstellung der kulinarisch besten Speisen sehen und dann diese unter der aufmerksamen Bedienung genießen. Bester Poncha, den wir auf Madeira hatten, bester Espada mit Banane und bester Oktopus etc. Wir waren im Jänner mehrmals dort und würden keine Zeit verschwenden um ein besseres Restaurant zu finden! (Grüße von Nickname „Red Bull“!)
La Terraça is a restaurant where you feel comfortable, eat excellently, with a particularly friendly staff! You can see the best dishes being made in the open kitchen and then enjoy them under the attentive staff. Best poncha we had in Madeira, best espada with banana and best octopus etc. We have been there several times in January and would not waste time to find a better restaurant! (Greetings from nickname "Red Bull"!)
07/02/2025: Experiência muito agradável, sobretudo pela simpatia do Sr Manuel, q acho que era o dono. Fez-nos sentir em casa.
A comida foi muito boa, eu pedi uma espetada e foi incrível.

Vila Ventura Garden Grill

20/10/2024: We ordered mixsallad, garlicbread, chicken skewer and shrimps with carlic and Piri-Piri.
chicken skewer was totally burned like coil and i tried to remove It away with knife.
I did't return skrewer to kitchen because after one hour waiting I was so hungry.
We sayd directly to weighter but she was not intrested.
Chef came to talk with us and he's opinion is that food is ok. In the next table one gentleman said that he's meet skewer was also burned at louvest pices.
We told to him that we are not going to pay full price of chicken so they took sallads prise 8€ off the bild.
Drinks we got fast but Service of food was very slow and stuff totally unintrested.
We have never been traded so unfrienfly and disrespext as on this restaurant. We travel A lot on the holidays and by our work so we have lot of experiens of many restaurants around the world.
We do not recommend this restaurant.
10/07/2024: Personeel ongeïnteresseerd diner was wel goed mixed grill, juist doordat ik alleen was is er weinig aandacht ivm verdienmodel
Omdat de diner goed was qua uitstraling en smaak heb ik fooi gegeven en toen kon de eigenaar ineens Hollands
Oftewel een commerciële bloedzuiger eerst geen aandacht omdat ik alleen was en te weinig opbrengt, maar na een fooi een slijmert
