11/10/2023: Ótima comida, preços e peixe fresco. Ótimos hambúrgueres também! Sea Bass foi especialmente bom! Nós quatro acabamos comendo lá várias vezes. Belas vistas e não muito quente no terraço durante o mês de outubro.

02/11/2024: Do yourself a favour and find another place. Unless you are British you will not enjoy the food . Went there and they even made a big deal about making eggs as they were “not on the menu”. Fries were made with the same oil they made the fish so, of course, they were fishy fries . We couldn’t eat as even the tea had a bit of a curry flavour. I would rather starve than going again.
11/10/2024: This is by far the best piri piri chicken I’ve ever had The decor is fantastic the music is fantastic and the wait staff was fantastic It’s a little off the beaten path but well worth the small hike up the hill in old town Had the shrimp cocktail for a starter and strawberry and ice cream for dessert

During our recent trip to Europe, we visited Algarve and discovered the restaurant Arribale, where we met Nanis, a dedicated and passionate staff member who truly inspired us. Despite her professional background and advanced studies in France, Nanis brings warmth and love to her work, making our experience unforgettable. She reminded us that there are still people dedicated to their work who can do it with love and passion, just like she does. We are grateful to Nanis, the crew, and Captain Ken for a magical night. The authentic grilled dishes, the fantastic atmosphere, the breathtaking views, and the inspiring, unmatched service made the evening truly special. 30/09/2024: We visited Aquario’s for the first time recently and is undoubtedly one of the finest restaurants in the area. The staff are lovely and the food is absolutely incredible. We didn’t realise that it is ‘cash only’ and, of course, we only had cards🙄. Not a problem, said the lovely owner, come back and pay me tomorrow!! There is a cash machine right outside, we discovered, but what an unbelievable gesture from him. We can highly recommend and can’t wait to go back😊😊

22/09/2024: Lors de notre première soirée à Lagos, nous avons souhaité tester un restaurant typique, local. Le Bar Inna, dont la décoration est résolument vintage, répondait à ces critères. Nous avons été très ben accueillis pas la gérante et le service a été plus que correct. Le Bar Inna est authentique. Les vieilles assiettes aux murs en sont le témoin. Les lithographies anciennes, le lustre dont les ampoules imitent des corps de bougies où coule la cire, les nappes de Noël en tissu kitsch, les serviettes en papier pliées dans le verre et la musique de variété diffusée, n’ont fait que confirmer l’ambiance première des lieux qui se dégage. Néanmoins, l’ensemble ne fait pas décrépi et reste propre. Petite précision : la gérante rend hommage à l’Ukraine avec des serviettes bleues et jaunes et un drapeau de ce pays accroché au mur. La carte est présentée dans un classeur de feuilles plastique. Les prix sont plus qu’abordables et il est largement possible de manger et boire à deux pour moins de 45 euros. Salades, pâtes, cataplana, différents plats de morue, poisson, viande, toute la cuisine portugaise est proposée. Beaucoup de plats peuvent être cuisinés sous leur forme veggie, ainsi ce restaurant s’adapte non seulement à toutes les bourses mais également à tous les régimes. Nous avons commandé une carafe de sangria et des couverts. La carafe n’est raiment pas chère car elle coûte 11 euros. Certes, il ne s’agit pas d’une sangria avec pléthore de fruits rouges, plutôt avec des pommes. De plus, elle est surtout faite à base de liqueur de griotte portugaise, mais je l’ai trouvée bonne et servie avec une bonne dose de glaçons sans pour autant la noyer. Mon épouse a moins apprécié, n’étant pas amatrice de la liqueur de cerise. Nous avons accompagné cette sangria de pain (qui était du pain de campagne, ce qui convient parfaitement aux touristes français que nous sommes) ; d’olives charnues et d’un fromage pâte dure avec du corps. Les plats sont arrivés assez vite. J’ai choisi de goûter la morue, accompagnée de petits pois-carottes, une demi pomme de terre, œuf dur et salade de pois chiche avec ail. Le mélange entre la salade froide et le reste chaud m’a beaucoup plus. Le poisson était bien cuit, pas gras. Les légumes n’étaient pas salés et la présence de l’ail a permis de relever l’ensemble. La portion était belle, j’ai donc été pleinement rassasié. Mon épouse a choisi le poulet piri-piri qui respectait la promesse du piri-priri : il était relevé. La viande était tendre et il ne s’agissait pas de pilons surgelés. Les frites n’étaient pas maison (mais on ne peut pas tout avoir), et de belles rondelles de tomates surmontées de lamelles d’oignon assuraient le côté frais de l’assiette. Les frites ne sentaient pas la mauvaise huile de cuisson. Là aussi, la portion était généreuse. Le diner nous est revenu à 41.80 euros (un litre de sangria, couverts, deux plats). L’addition est clairement favorable au client qui n’est pas lésé et qui peut manger une cuisine locale de qualité, comme si l’on était chez l’habitant, sans fioriture, à de très petits prix. Je recommande cette adresse pour un déjeuner ou un dîner simple, sans chichi, dans un cadre vintage.
15/09/2024: Si vous voulez manger de la morue salée, des petits pois et carottes surgelés direct du sachet sans aucune préparation c'est ici. En fait ce n'était pas cuisiné du tout ! Très mauvaise expérience pour un premier resto "portugais"

30/10/2024: Awful waiting service and horrible food - everything slathered in cheap sauces, mayo white, mayo pink, mayo garlic. Couldn’t even see the chicken on the Satay skewers for the thick unappealing sauce. When we asked for the garlic potatoes to be changed ( no sauce) the waitress was rude, saying” but you gonna pay for those right?”, referring to the rejected bowl. No suitable food for toddlers, very salty too. I was so embarrassed because Is taken my family and two little ones. Slow lazy service.
09/10/2024: Loved our tapas experience! Great menu choices - literally something for everyone - with beautiful presentation and all was delicious. Would have liked dishes to be spaced out a little bit more in their arrival at the table but loved the meal and the service was terrific.

16/08/2024: Restaurante cercano al centro de Lagos con fácil aparcamiento. Comimos una variedad de platos a muy buen precio y de gran calidad. Los camareros muy agradables y atentos. La terraza para las cenas súper acogedora. Sin duda repitiria.

10/07/2024: The restaurant we wanted was fully booked so we ended up dropping in here as it looked good from the outside. The first warning sign is there are no name signs at all, not even on the menus. Probably trying to hide away from the bad reviews. We ordered white wine with lemonade but we got white wine with lemon juice. We tried to explain to the waiter but he stared arguing with us. So that wasn’t a good start. We ordered Caesar salad and a steak. The food came out within 2 minutes so could not have been prepared fresh. The croutons in the salad were soft and stale with a small amount of dry chicken. The steak had a very strange colour and texture and the vegetables were awful. This was the worst food and experience we have had in Lagos. The bill was over €50 and we can’t work out how it came to that. But we just wanted to leave. Do yourself a favour and walk on by. There are much better restaurants in the area.
18/06/2024: Pizza was great, partner had the fish stew and that was also great. Would recommend. We sat outside and the atmosphere was perfect. Staff were great

30/10/2024: This is the first experience with an unknown menu, with either 6, 8, or 9 as a choice for dishes. We chose 8, threw caution to the wind, and began our dining experience. We opted out of the wine pairing to experience the chef's dishes directly without other flavors to add to our pale. Each plate was different from the next. The carrots prepared three ways were delicious. The variety of mushrooms in the next course is amazing. We continued to Sea Bass and finally arrived at the two dessert options, which were also delicious. The staff were professional and the pace of dining was not rushed. The prices were reasonable and we had a lovely evening.
05/09/2024: Al estar hospedados en el propio hotel Cascade, mi mujer y yo decidimos cenar una noche en el Senses. Fue un acierto. De los tres menús que tienen nos decidimos por el más corto (aperitivos, cuatro platos, queso y postre, 75 €, bebidas aparte) al tratarse de una cena y para evitar que se prolongara demasiado. Todo estuvo impecable, el menú y el servicio, que fue amable y eficaz. Restaurante muy recomendable.

05/10/2024: Entramos para petiscar uma sapateira e umas amêijoas eram 16 horas. Ja não havia praticamente ninguém no restaurante. Colocaram a mesa e entregaram o menu e depois nunca mais apareceram....quando fui reclamar não adiantou muito porque não percebiam o que dizia. Enfim sem comentários sítio a esquecer. Ha muitos bons restaurantes em altura.
24/09/2024: Chegados ao restaurante, fomos rapidamente encaminhados para a mesa, onde fomos sentados (na esplanada). O restaurante encontrava-se talvez com 20% da sua ocupação. Ao fim de algum tempo trouxeram-nos a ementa. A escolha recaiu no couvert especial que, supostamente, traz duas "comidas surpresa" (embuste) e em duas espetadas terra e mar. A acompanhar, cerveja. Na carta, os preços chamaram-nos a atenção. Elevados. Portanto, expectativas elevadas. O atendimento foi deplorável: não só o nosso, mas também o de quem nos rodeava. Contexto: quando chegámos ao restaurante, encontrava-se uma pessoa sentada numa mesa, já a petiscar as suas entradas. Algum tempo depois de nós chegarmos, chegaram outras pessoas. O pedido da pessoa que já lá estava e que era exactamente o mesmo das pessoas que chegaram depois, veio para a mesa depois do destas últimas e só após manifestação de desconforto por parte da pessoa que se encontrava a aguardar. Mais tarde, após terem questionado uma das mesas se tudo estava conforme o pretendido e de lhes terem respondido que não (as sardinhas estavam moídas), as pessoas em causa receberam como resposta comentários como "é normal" ou "acontece", relativizando por completo a situação ao invés de escutar as críticas e de as procurarem resolver. Diga-se de passagem que também não perguntaram a mais ninguém se a comida estava boa ou má. Ou seja, a quem perguntaram, claramente esperavam a resposta do "está tudo bem". Adiante... Depois do embuste das entradas, vieram as espetadas terra e mar para a mesa. As espetadas em causa encontravam-se bem recheadas de cebola. A quantidade de carne e de camarão não acompanhava, naturalmente, a muita cebola que trazia. Estavam bem grelhadas (sinal +). A carne era de razoável qualidade. Dois dos camarões estavam com um sabor estranho: velho, bafiento. Ou seja, claramente não estavam frescos. Os acompanhamentos estavam bem cozinhados, mas a qualidade também não era substancialmente grande. Final da refeição, demora infindável para levantar pratos. O preço médio por pessoa acabou por ser de 29€. Ou seja, extremamente elevado para a qualidade e quantidade de comida apresentada. Mais elevado ainda para a simpatia (nenhuma) dos funcionários ou para o espaço que têm. É uma experiência que não repetiremos.
