30/01/2024: Nós fomos aqui sem muito aviso porque nossa reserva original em outro restaurante havia dado errado. Embora fôssemos 7 pessoas chegando às 21h, eles nos atenderam e suspeito que ficaram abertos até tarde para nosso benefício. O menu é abrangente, assim como a carta de vinhos. Recomendo completamente.

28/09/2024: We highly recommend this restaurant. Antonia greeted us looking at the menu and we took a seat. She is amazing! Owner/ Hr person making sure everyone is looked after. The attention, the service, the food and wine...all wonderful!

08/09/2024: On the day of our arrival we walked to this restaurant and arrived 20 minutes after it opened. We waited at the top of the stairs and eventually a man walked towards us after finishing polishing some forks. After I asked for a table for two he spoke exactly five words to me ……. “Have you booked?” When I explained we had only just arrived he then said “then no”. As I looked around there were only two people sitting outside the restaurant. There was nobody sitting inside. He noticed me doing this and just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. It was so comical we looked at each other in astonishment. It is truly the first time we have had this kind of greeting in many years of eating out in Portugal. The food could have been first class but we will never know as we will not return.

21/08/2024: A lovely setting in its own grounds so easy to park. The starter was slightly disappointing as the garlic prawns were mainly butter sauce with little garlic. The prawn and salmon kebab for main was excellent. My wife had sea bass which was very good. The creme caramel was also very good. Certainly good value for money.

29/09/2024: Really glad we went in and ate in this restaurant. Very unassuming but one of the best Piri Piri Chickens we’ve had. Service was friendly and a good sign that the restaurant was full of locals.

16/07/2024: Llegamos al restaurante poco antes de las diez para cenar. El porche estaba lleno de mesas con familias cenando. No nos dijeron nada de que la hora del cierre era a las 10:00, en ese caso no nos hubiéramos quedado. Las mesas se fueron vaciando y de repente, aún con comida en los platos y cenando,nos preguntaron varias veces si habíamos terminado para retirar todos los platos. Nos echaron literalmente. Nos vimos obligados a levantarnos ante la presión de los camareros. Eran las 10:30 de la noche. Aconsejamos que no vayan, pero si lo hacen no pidan una botella grande de agua. Llega abierta a la mesa y te cobran 4'80€.

31/08/2024: A comida era fantástica. O cozimento com pedras quentes foi algo completamente inesperado e muito divertido. Ótima experiência em todos os aspectos.

09/09/2024: What a pleasant surprise! Typical Portuguese food done well with faultless service. Incredibly accommodating staff who were great with our toddler - high chairs available! Food was great. Yes, it might be simple but it was delicious and that’s all we could ask for. We’ve already said we’ll have to return again!

01/09/2024: Good location down near the beach and next to Lords bar, you could be mistaken for thinking they are the same place. Very friendly staff and good service, only reason for the review is the food wasn't the best quality I have to say...fish soup to start was more like tomato / minestrone & my fiancee had nachos with a lump of guacamole which wasn't seasoned. Steak for main wasn't cooked as requested and pretty bland, I had a tuna steak which wasn't bad but we had much nicer during our stay and the prices make it poor value overall.
