05/10/2024: We ate here and had the Sirloin steak Portuguese style and Prawn Tagliatelle. The steak was good but the potatoes around it were wafer thin which was a disappointment. Also there were not many prawns with the tagliatelle. It was a nice meal but just a bit lacking.

03/10/2024: We have just had the most amazing fillet steak with pepper corn sauce . The atmosphere was lovely and chilled and the staff were great . Well worth a visit

01/10/2024: We had a lovely family lunch , 6 adults plus children. We had no reservations but were seated immediately. The restaurant was clean and had an excellent ranger of fish etc. We all enjoyed the meals we ordered and would go again when in the area.

30/01/2024: Nós fomos aqui sem muito aviso porque nossa reserva original em outro restaurante havia dado errado. Embora fôssemos 7 pessoas chegando às 21h, eles nos atenderam e suspeito que ficaram abertos até tarde para nosso benefício. O menu é abrangente, assim como a carta de vinhos. Recomendo completamente.

27/09/2024: Terrible. Grumpy passive aggressive waiter. Stale bread, burnt prawns and overcooked monkfish. Suggest you avoid at all costs.

29/09/2024: You would be wise to book in advance if you want to eat here as it usually very busy. The food is excellent, meat is cooked on the grill and so tasty. Great service, very friendly. Would highly recommend.

15/08/2024: Had one of the best octopus rice ever. My kids had bacalhau á Brás all perfectly cooked and traditional Portuguese dishes. The grilled chicken was also appreciated by wife and daughter. Defo recommend and I am a Portuguese immigrant :)

06/09/2024: Será um restaurante a não voltar, definitivamente. O tempo de espera é surreal e a comida não vale esse tempo. Temos que estar constantemente a chamar os empregados,porque nem se dignam a aparecer nas mesas. Péssimo mesmo.Não recomendo.

15/10/2024: Nous avions déjà été dans ce restaurant il y a quelques années , c est avec plaisirs que nous y sommes retournés et que nous avons retrouvés cette bonne cuisine traditionnelle portugaise. Personnel très attentionné, souriant . Bref un excellent moment.

12/10/2024: The steak was perfectly cooked, as was the a companying vegetables. Lots of choice food wise. The deserts were light and tasty. Recommended.

08/09/2024: On the day of our arrival we walked to this restaurant and arrived 20 minutes after it opened. We waited at the top of the stairs and eventually a man walked towards us after finishing polishing some forks. After I asked for a table for two he spoke exactly five words to me ……. “Have you booked?” When I explained we had only just arrived he then said “then no”. As I looked around there were only two people sitting outside the restaurant. There was nobody sitting inside. He noticed me doing this and just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. It was so comical we looked at each other in astonishment. It is truly the first time we have had this kind of greeting in many years of eating out in Portugal. The food could have been first class but we will never know as we will not return.

21/08/2024: A lovely setting in its own grounds so easy to park. The starter was slightly disappointing as the garlic prawns were mainly butter sauce with little garlic. The prawn and salmon kebab for main was excellent. My wife had sea bass which was very good. The creme caramel was also very good. Certainly good value for money.

10/09/2024: Very good food an Alex was extraordinary with impeccable service. We will be back for sure . Amazing seevice and great memories.

16/09/2024: Sometimes taking a chance on a place that's hasn't been recommended pays off. Cais do Gilão was a treat. Attentive and fun staff serving excellent food. Really enjoyable.
