20/09/2024: We were staying in the Hotel and decided to have our dinner in the Hotel Restaurant our first night. It was disappointing and we didn't return. There are numerous restaurants in town a short walk away that are considerably better. The food was expensive, forgettable and the service was poor. The chap with the " comb over" looked at us after we asked for the bill then completely ignored us. We finally got the bill from a waitress after a long wait. During our stay at the Hotel we had to go through the restaurant to reach reception. Not once did the staff wait for me to pass and on each occasion I waited I wasn't thanked. Upon reaching Reception the contrast could not be greater as the Hotel were unfailingly polite and helpful.
