30/10/2024: Maravilloso, el personal tan amable y la comida excelente. Tiramisu mejor que el puente de Rialto en Venecia. Sin duda recomendaría a los amigos.

09/11/2024: My Wife and I enjoy eating at La Piazza every year we come to Alvor on holiday. The pizzas and pasta dishes are lovely, especilly the Cannelloni. The house red wine is good value. Service is always prompt and friendly. It's possible here to have a couple of main courses (the portions are generous!) plus beer, wine and coffees for under 40 euros. Well worth a visit!

05/11/2024: Fabulous Family run Italian, We ate here several times. The Pizza is brilliant. So is the Pasta. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant for great food and service at a reasonable price

24/10/2024: Este restaurante italiano es un lugar increíble para la cena, ya que la comida es fuera de este mundo y es delicioso, el servicio es muy agradable y los camareros tienen un gran sentido del humor. El ambiente es acogedor y relajado. En general, es cómodo, delicioso y divertido.

13/11/2024: Fuimos a este restaurante porque no estaba lejos de nuestros alojamientos. Nos recibieron con una cálida bienvenida. El restaurante estaba limpio. Nuestro servidor era amable y servicial. Teníamos la pizza napolitana, la corteza era delgada pero no quemada. Fue muy sabroso. Nuestro vino tinto era delicioso. Nuestra ensalada Gioconda era una porción grande pero muy fresca. Los precios eran buenos. Aceptan tarjetas de crédito. Todo y todo, recomendaría este restaurante.

11/12/2024: This place is a must if you are visiting Alvor. It is away from the Main Street where a lot of the more touristy restaurants are located but so worth seeking out. I would recommend booking as it was busy even on a weekday in December. The food is superb, a great selection on the menu and what we had was great quality and beautifully presented. We shared a board of anti pasti which was served with a lovely selection of breads and then the lamb chops, followed by homemade chocolate mousse. We asked for a wine recommendation which was also spot on. The staff are so friendly, efficient and helpful, there is nothing not to like. We’ll be back, in fact in three days time !

30/09/2024: Went due to good reviews but cannot believe anyone who has eaten in an authentic Italian restaurant could rate it. Ordered salad starters which were nothing special, could of put it together at home. Tuna was out of a tin unlike a restaurant a few nights earlier which was fresh. Had to ask for oil and vinegar which they seemed surprised we did and eventually came back with sachets. Ordered spaghetti bolognese and gnocchi for mains. Arrived with no offer of more cutlery so we helped ourselves from another table. Spaghetti bolognese was literally mince and pasta, no sign of a tomato sauce on it and tasted bland, no offer of parmesan. Gnocchi was so hot could not eat it for quite a while, not sure if been nuked in a microwave and very salty, not freshly made authentic in anyway. No offer of more drinks, had to ask, staff seemed more interested in chatting in the door and their job only to put food on table and clear it away. Sat for ages after with food and drinks finished while staff still chatted so assumed no offer of dessert or coffee. Had to ask for bill or we would probably be still waiting. Certainly no limoncello with the bill as stated by other reviews. My husband had to rush to the toilet on route home and I felt sick all night, not what we needed on our last night! Eaten in many Italian restaurants around the world but cannot understand this could be rated so highly by people as it was bad in every way apart from the drinks. Avoid there must be so much better.

29/09/2024: Very poor service . Salad starter, no oil and vinegar, supposed to be an Itallian Restaurant. Gnocchi and good old spaghetti bol for mains. Smallish portion of spaghetti bolognese and the gnocchi although a decent portion was too hot to eat for at least 10 mins. Finished our mains more than ten minutes ago and no contact from the serving staff as yet. Stood in the doorway too busy chatting away to each other. Shocking. Won't be back. 20 mins since we finished our food and drink, no offer of desserts or coffees so we got the bill and paid up .....wrong tables served with wrong dishes too. No one seemed to be in charge so they all just standing around chatting. On the whole pretty poor, there are loads more restaurants in Alvor that give top service. If I were you I'd give this place a wide berth and spend your money where they appreciate your custom. One for you Gordon Ramsey.

09/10/2024: I recently dined at Al Fresco and had a fantastic experience! The Red Fruit Smoothie was refreshing and perfectly blended, setting the tone for the meal. The Pizza Quattro Stagioni was delightful, with a great balance of flavors and a perfectly crispy crust. To top it all off, the chocolate cake was simply divine—rich and indulgent. I highly recommend Al Fresco for a wonderful dining experience!

04/10/2024: Amazing pasta/gnocci. The waiter was very friendly. They often came to check if everything was okay. Good price/quality.

20/10/2024: Accueil chaleureux. Très bonne cuisine italienne. Plats copieux. Nous avons été bien servis. Serveurs sympas et attentionnés

18/10/2024: Soirée très agréable en couple, en vacances à Portimao, recommandé par notre hôte. Avons très bien mangé. Accueil impeccable. Très bon service.

14/08/2024: Alors qu’il fermé le restaurant à 14h30 nous sommes arrivés à 9 pour manger Ils ont réouvert Nous avons été très bien reçu avec une qualité de service au top 👌

16/08/2024: Excelente restaurante que foge ao que tudo o que é em cima da praia oferece. A senhora que nos atendeu foi de uma simpatia que não vamos esquecer! Comida super bem confecionada e saborosa e empratanento cuidado. O espaço não está bem identificado e merecia destaque de rua. Comi a melhor cabonara da minha vida e gelado de morango caseiro. Sítio a voltar. Recomendo vivamente.

15/08/2024: Bom ambiente, ótima decoração, excelentes pizzas, sangria no ponto. A cereja no topo do bolo foi o acolhimento e simpatia genuína da Madalena que nos recebeu como se fosse em sua casa! Obrigada!

29/09/2024: A menudo he cocinado mejillones al vapor como entrada, y esto fue definitivamente lo mejor que he tenido. Un tazón grande de mejillones gordos nadando en una salsa de tomate (suavemente) picante con pan tostado. Genial.

26/10/2024: L’Angolo es una experiencia única. Es como sentarse en una sala de estar mientras ve a alguien cocinar para usted. Y es muy bueno también. El servicio siempre es oportuno, sonrisas en las caras y siempre calidad increíble. Rocco, Irina y el equipo hacen una muy buena comida año tras año.

28/03/2024: As massas caseiras e os serviços eram extremamente rápidos, algo que não é tão comum em Portugal. Os serviços estavam acima da média. Funcionários simpáticos, embora estejam ocupados.
