30/10/2024: Maravilloso, el personal tan amable y la comida excelente. Tiramisu mejor que el puente de Rialto en Venecia. Sin duda recomendaría a los amigos.

09/11/2024: My Wife and I enjoy eating at La Piazza every year we come to Alvor on holiday. The pizzas and pasta dishes are lovely, especilly the Cannelloni. The house red wine is good value. Service is always prompt and friendly. It's possible here to have a couple of main courses (the portions are generous!) plus beer, wine and coffees for under 40 euros. Well worth a visit!

05/11/2024: Fabulous Family run Italian, We ate here several times. The Pizza is brilliant. So is the Pasta. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant for great food and service at a reasonable price

29/09/2024: Chegamos ao restaurante e, passado 15 minutos de espera, não só não se dignaram a vir à mesa, como também tinham vários empregados a olhar para nós enquanto o fazíamos. (o restaurante estava vazio). Depois de nos levantarmos e perguntarmos se podíamos fazer o pedido, responderam-nos “Não sou eu que faço pedidos”. Depois de aguardarmos mais 5/10 minutos acabamos por nos levantar e sair. Inadmissível esta falta de atitude por parte de quem serve. Para ter o restaurante aberto sobre estas condições mais valia estar fechado

29/09/2024: Nível de serviço péssimo. Já não é a primeira vez que embora o restaurante esteja quase vazio, os empregados dificilmente são pró-activos e quando os chamamos demoram imenso tempo. Hoje ultrapassou o que achamos razoável, após 15/20min de espera, e após várias chamadas, levantei-me e dirigi-me a uma funcionária , que prontamente me respondeu, não sou eu que faço o pedido . Continuamos à espera por mais 10min, sem que ninguém se dignasse a vir recolher o pedido . Acabamos por sair . Para este nível de atendimento , é preferível fecharem .

20/09/2024: This restaurant has opened an ice cream parlour around the corner . Mediterraneamente Gelato and Crepes. It serves delicious homemade (by the owner) gelato with amazing flavours - changing daily!

19/09/2024: Excelente comida num ambiente agradável e acolhedor. Atendimento simpático e com rapidez. A esplanada é muito agradável numa noite de verão.

30/09/2024: Went due to good reviews but cannot believe anyone who has eaten in an authentic Italian restaurant could rate it. Ordered salad starters which were nothing special, could of put it together at home. Tuna was out of a tin unlike a restaurant a few nights earlier which was fresh. Had to ask for oil and vinegar which they seemed surprised we did and eventually came back with sachets. Ordered spaghetti bolognese and gnocchi for mains. Arrived with no offer of more cutlery so we helped ourselves from another table. Spaghetti bolognese was literally mince and pasta, no sign of a tomato sauce on it and tasted bland, no offer of parmesan. Gnocchi was so hot could not eat it for quite a while, not sure if been nuked in a microwave and very salty, not freshly made authentic in anyway. No offer of more drinks, had to ask, staff seemed more interested in chatting in the door and their job only to put food on table and clear it away. Sat for ages after with food and drinks finished while staff still chatted so assumed no offer of dessert or coffee. Had to ask for bill or we would probably be still waiting. Certainly no limoncello with the bill as stated by other reviews. My husband had to rush to the toilet on route home and I felt sick all night, not what we needed on our last night! Eaten in many Italian restaurants around the world but cannot understand this could be rated so highly by people as it was bad in every way apart from the drinks. Avoid there must be so much better.

29/09/2024: Very poor service . Salad starter, no oil and vinegar, supposed to be an Itallian Restaurant. Gnocchi and good old spaghetti bol for mains. Smallish portion of spaghetti bolognese and the gnocchi although a decent portion was too hot to eat for at least 10 mins. Finished our mains more than ten minutes ago and no contact from the serving staff as yet. Stood in the doorway too busy chatting away to each other. Shocking. Won't be back. 20 mins since we finished our food and drink, no offer of desserts or coffees so we got the bill and paid up .....wrong tables served with wrong dishes too. No one seemed to be in charge so they all just standing around chatting. On the whole pretty poor, there are loads more restaurants in Alvor that give top service. If I were you I'd give this place a wide berth and spend your money where they appreciate your custom. One for you Gordon Ramsey.

09/10/2024: I recently dined at Al Fresco and had a fantastic experience! The Red Fruit Smoothie was refreshing and perfectly blended, setting the tone for the meal. The Pizza Quattro Stagioni was delightful, with a great balance of flavors and a perfectly crispy crust. To top it all off, the chocolate cake was simply divine—rich and indulgent. I highly recommend Al Fresco for a wonderful dining experience!

04/10/2024: Amazing pasta/gnocci. The waiter was very friendly. They often came to check if everything was okay. Good price/quality.

10/10/2024: Amazing! The spaghetti vongole was genuinely one of the nicest things I've eaten in my whole life. Pizzas were awesome, wine selection was next level, and just a lovely little restaurant. Great find!

07/10/2024: It's a busy place so book in advance . I can't understand the negative reviews regarding long waits for food. Starters came within 15 minutes with a further walk 20 minutes for main dish. Id rather wait a while for a freshly cooked meal. I had king prawn linguine which was amazing. My husband had steak which was equally as good. The Waiter was adorable and friendly. Good wine reasonably priced . This is an authentic Italian restaurant not Bella Italia so don't expect a table full of parmesan to put all over a perfectly seasoned meal. I honestly can't believe a person gave a one star review due to this .

31/08/2024: Absolutely lovely restaurant, food is delicious. I normally have the lambchops with the rosties with garlic butter. Lovely atmosphere even when it full, staff are super, very professional , helpful. Visit at least once whilst we are in alvor. My husband loves the wine that nuno orders for him. Thanks Nuno.

17/08/2024: This is one of our favourite places to eat in Alvor!! We have been coming here for over a decade and the food and service has always been superb. We love to eat outside in the courtyard our favourite dishes of fresh pasta and swordfish. My daughter loves the seabass and my youngest the 'fish' pizza! Excellent welcome from staff makes us return every visit!
