11/02/2025: Tolles Restaurant, sehr guter Service, schönes Ambiente und sehr gutes Essen. Frische Fische liegen in der Vitrine, die man sich aussuchen kann und die dann zubereitet werden. Preis-Leistung sehr gut.
09/02/2025: Absolutely wonderful experience. Very fresh fish that you can choose from as on the market. Perfect, timely and careful service. Adequate prices and stunning views on the bay. Love this place!

11/01/2025: We visited twice during our week’s stay and very much enjoyed the flavoursome fish dishes and some local wine. The lovely waitress was exceptional - one of the friendliest people we met in Madeira.
11/01/2025: Man kann hier den für Madeira so spezifischen Degenfisch in verschiedenen Variationen zu sehr günstigen Preisen frsich genießen, denn der Chef selbst fängt ihn. Der Kellner Marco war super freundlich und hilfreich.

06/12/2024: A marcação foi feita com antecedência, porém colocaram-nos numa mesa em frente à porta do WC o qual não tem qualquer tipo de resguardo. Reclamámos a quem nos serviu que nos disse simplesmente que não podia fazer nada
17/10/2024: A real disappointment. My husband and I came from Funchal to have lunch on a recommendation from a driver. Our Picado Espade was basically a plate of soggy waffle potatoes with fish on top and a few bits of tomato. The bruschetta wasn’t any better. The price was 19.90 Eur. Save your money.

07/01/2025: Delicious snack! We collapsed in a heap here at the end of a walk and had two freshly squeezed orange juices which were exactly what we needed, and then we shared a bolo de caco (trad garlic bread) and a traditional beef skewer on a laurel stick. So delicious! All with a lovely view of the church, the ocean and the epic nativity scene. Highly recommended. We’ll be back. It sounds like they’ve had a great reputation for a long time so don’t miss it!
15/12/2024: Zum Sundowner immer wieder hierhin. Gegessen haben wir noch nicht hier. Aber Poncha und Nikita schmecken uns! Und dazu der phantastische Blick auf Wasser und Klippen. Wenn dann noch die Sonne langsam im Meer versinkt, einfach schön.

26/11/2024: Infelizmente, este restaurante tem perdido qualidade. Era presença assídua 1 vez por semana há 5anos. O problema principal é a elevada quantidade de sal presente na ventrecha de atum e também no milho frito. Esta situação tem ocorrido nas últimas semanas, apesar de sempre relatar os o problema. O chef atribui a culpa à água de vidragem com sal, sublinhando que não acrescenta sal ao atum, mas não arranja solução. Além disso, a cerveja que nos foi trazida estava fora de prazo há quase 4 meses e também não é a primeira vez que acontece. Infelizmente, reparei apenas no final e informei de imediato a funcionária. Contudo, tiveram a ousadia de cobrar 3€ pela cerveja e nem houve um pedido de desculpas. Tenho pena, mas não volto.

Choix de la carte varié et traduit en plusieurs langues, dont le français.
Vue sublime en terrasse au bord de mer !
Personnel pas très souriant mais professionnel et rapide.

11/01/2025: This restaurant enjoys a great location and the staff were very nice and friendly. The menu is very varied and the food was very good. Unfortunately a snafu with the order meant that I didn’t get my main course until my husband had finished his. There wasn’t really an apology for this - just some rueful regrets - and no discount either so….no tip. But otherwise it was very good.
30/12/2024: Shocking service. We ordered and were told afterwards there would be a wait. An hour and a half later we were still waiting for food. We checked how long it would be they said 15 minutes but there was no sign they’d even started cooking yet. They make the food in any order they like. Do not visit unless you have the whole day to wait around for your food. Rude staff also.

25/10/2024: The food wasn’t worth the price and we also didn’t get what we ordered. The desserts were small portions and we paid 7 euros for a ring of pineapple. The service wasn’t the best either.
22/10/2024: Das Ess3n war vorzüglich,in unserem Urlaub das beste Restaurant.
Zu empfehlen sind als Beilage die Süßkartoffeln mit .
Hier ist alles nochmal ein Stückchen besser als bei der Konkurrenz.
