29/06/2025: We went here twice, the food, atmosphere were fabulous. The fresh tuna in a boat was delicious and the tornado steak on the bext visit so tasty.

31/05/2025: Ótimo restaurante, com vista para a baía de Câmara de Lobos, estacionamento pago bem ao lado. Pedimos uma espetada tradicional no pau de louro e estava maravilhosa. Veio bem servida, estava macia e muito saborosa. Atendimento muito bom também.
29/05/2025: We visited this restaurant twice during our Madeira holidays, both time we ordered the fresh fish, one split between two. Trigger fish on the first occasion with fries and salad, Madeira potato flour bread to start. On the second occasion we had an octopus salad to start followed by the sea bass. For both meals we were able to sit in the upstairs terrace in fine weather. The food was top quality and all freshly prepared by a skilled chef and the service both well informed and polite with excellent English. We look forward to going again the next time we visit.

03/07/2025: Não se deixe intimidar pela aparência austera do edifício, acessível por uma escadaria que leva à praia, pois tivemos uma refeição muito boa neste restaurante! Pratos caseiros e bem executados, serviço simpático e rápido, e uma bela vista para o mar do terraço.
27/06/2025: A equipe foi tão rude que fomos embora antes mesmo de sermos atendidos!
A garçonete suspirou ao falar conosco, mas acabou se mostrando tão simpática quanto um peixe fora d'água.

11/01/2025: We visited twice during our week’s stay and very much enjoyed the flavoursome fish dishes and some local wine. The lovely waitress was exceptional - one of the friendliest people we met in Madeira.
11/01/2025: Man kann hier den für Madeira so spezifischen Degenfisch in verschiedenen Variationen zu sehr günstigen Preisen frsich genießen, denn der Chef selbst fängt ihn. Der Kellner Marco war super freundlich und hilfreich.

Restaurant Vila do Peixe

22/02/2025: The restaurant looks great on entry with fantastic reviews and glorious position. However, once your order your food, choosing your fish with advice, at the fish counter, then the experience disintergrates into a farce! An hour wait for the food. The fish , seabream or sargo, 26 euros, was overcooked and barely enough for one person acopanied by 3 tiny pots of condiments.
We had fish, chips, boiled potatoes, half bottle of wine and a beer and water.
54 euros in total..
The staff were disinterested.
Locals seem to have a completly difference experience, fast service, cheerful staff ! overall, avoid !
20/02/2025: The view was great and the wine was nice. That is about all the positives we can say! It felt like the staff did not want to be there. Not one of them smiled, asked if we were happy with our meal or attentive at all. The bouillabaisse was watery and thin but overall it was the very disappointing service that means we won’t return.

18/06/2025: Surreal. Parei aqui para beber uma poncha. Perguntei como faziam a poncha. Resposta do funcionário: aguardente, sumo de limão, sumo de laranja e mel. Pedi uma poncha sem sumo de laranja. O funcionário disse que não fazia. Fiz ver que pagaria o mesmo. Mesmo assim não fez.
01/06/2025: Tive uma ótima refeição por um preço razoável. Atendimento simpático (com alguns problemas de idioma), mas eles certamente fazem o melhor que podem.

04/06/2025: This is our last night in Maderia, we decided to try the restaurant because it is linked to the hotel chain we have been staying at.
Well, I'm so angry we didn't try it before, it was the best meal we have had during the whole trip, the food was so fresh, you can see them preparing it and cooking it from scratch, a very clean and efficient kitchen indeed. So many compliments to the chef and his team. Also I can't forget the servers/waiters, amazing service, very helpful and friendly. If you are in Camara de Lobos, find this place. It's wonderful.
13/05/2025: Lekkere vissoep en daarna een fantastisch vistrio. Vlotte bediening en fijn personeel. Mooie locatie, later op de dag niet in de zon.
