15/09/2024: We went to this restaurant on a few previous trips years ago and it was pretty reasonable. This time, however, it was bad. There was unpleasant attitude from the staff, masquerading as local colour. We were ignored after we were seated and needed to ask for the menu. They did not have the wine we ordered - which is not a big deal - but also they did not have the Cataplana which is what we had come for and is on their menu. The fish (grouper) that I ordered was somewhat overcooked as was my wife's monkfish skewer. There were deserts on the menu that looked quite nice but we were told they were not available. Instead we were given a list of pre bought deserts which looked unappealing and so we left. The price of the meal was average for the area and time of year.

31/08/2024: A Paisagem - Great Place for Dinner Date of Visit: August 2024 Travelers: Myself, wife, and 4-year-old daughter, plus my brother and wife A Paisagem is a good spot for dinner. The staff is lovely, and offered excellent advice on dishes, fresh fish options, and portion sizes. I had the best grilled "Cherne" I’ve ever tasted. The quality of the fish was outstanding, and the desserts were interesting as well. The only downside was the waiting times. While the food is worth it, a bit of a wait can be expected. Conclusion: The price is reasonable, and I can definitely recommend A Paisagem. I look forward to returning on my next visit.

30/09/2024: Had wanted to eat out in Quarteira on a recent vacation to Villamoura and found this restaurant on our last evening. We shared a large shrimp and avocado salad to start. Our mains consisted of 1 x grilled chicken breast and 1 x black pork cheeks. Both were accompanied with chips and rice. We got a bottle of the house red and a bottle of sparkling water and finished with a desert all for a very reasonable €72.

15/08/2024: Hoje dia 15/08/2024 fui jantar ao restaurante Caravela em Quarteira, pedi uma massa de tamboril a qual estava bastante salgada, pedi ao filho do dono do estabelecimento para provar e para levar para trás e este após levantar o prato e levar à cozinha veio dizer há mesa que este estava salgado mas não estava assim tão salgado como referi, após alguns minutos trouxe o mesmo prato que levou para trás mas mais aguado. No final de contas quando fomos a pagar adicionaram vários tipos de pães e manteigas que nunca pedimos e eu passei a noite a vomitar devido à intoxicação alimentar do prato que comi neste estabelecimento.

20/08/2024: Return visit and as always exceptional service and beautiful food, the evening sunset view always a bonus. Main course prawns excellent as were the clams which are on the starter menu but I had as a main course. Big portion unlike some local restaurants so well worth the money and not one closed clam on the plate…. Five stars plus for that! At the end of a very, very hot day, the third in a row the staff dealt admirably with one difficult customer who apart from anything that she felt was wrong, completely forgot her manners and was extremely rude! First class staff Eduardo!

18/08/2024: What an excellent place! The food here was quite honestly one of the best meals that we had all eaten out - some of our party had Monkfish and some of party had Spaghetti Bolognease (which was divine) which were two highlight dishes. The desserts were nice too but they were not serving one or two things on the menu which we had ordered so felt that they should have put a cross by the options that they are not currently serving so that they don’t disappoint diners. The staff were fairly friendly and the setting was lovely (sat indoors with a lovely beach view). Relatively pricey but definitely a return on the cards should we come back to Portugal.

20/10/2024: Manque de traduction française + patron pas très poli. Pas de désert cuisiné après 21h car cuisine fermée. Cadre très jolie, surplombant la marina

16/10/2024: Exceptional! I’d been recommended by a friend but had read a few recent reviews that weren’t so good - decided to trust our friend and I’m so glad we did - we chose the turbot and had THE best fish ever!! Beautifully cooked so it was still moist and so tasty, and expertly filleted at the table. I really can’t tell you how good it was. We also had whitebait to start and a fig tart for dessert that was melt in your mouth. The staff were lovely and very attentive and the view over the marina was lovely without being on the sea front with blaring music. I HIGHLY recommend!

30/09/2024: We had 2 x starters. I had the giant shrimps in garlic which were gorgeous. We had a main for two of skewered meat, shrimp and veg, which was a bit dry. We had 2 x drinks and paid €79 for the lot.

30/09/2024: Jantar com amigos! oa comida - picanha e bife pimenta - mas sobretudo staff muito simpático, prestável e informado! Diogo impecável.

07/08/2024: Fantástico, buena comida, muy buen trato y muy buen precio. En mi opinión, de lo que conozo es lo mejor de Altura. El pescado al grill buenísimo. Ponen mucha guarnición, patatas asadas y verduras al vapor muy bien hecha. Hemos repetido varias veces en nuestras vacaciones por aquí.
