15/11/2024: Visitados en una fiesta de 16 , vamos cada año cuando estamos allí de vacaciones. La decoración es un poco básica, pero lo sabemos. El pescado era como siempre perfecto y lo hacen tan bien para manejar un grupo tan grande que tiene la comida en la mesa al mismo tiempo. Vino sólido. Bill es tendencia un poco más grande cada año, lo que no es específico de este lugar, pero sigue siendo un gran valor y el servicio siempre es con una sonrisa. Disfrutamos de nuestra noche y volveremos.

16/10/2024: o restaurante tem um bom ambiente, junto à praia e tem o mercado mesmo ao lado, com produtos frescos. Fui almoçar com um amigo, comemos arroz de tamboril que estava bem temperado e serviu bem os dois. O staff também era simpático e atencioso.

17/10/2024: Went here after reading great reviews, we had steak on stone and Chicken Piri piri , both excellent, we enjoyed a complimentary starter and a good house wine, great staff! Good value for money, here another 3 weeks and we will return

09/10/2024: How we in the past missed out this Gem we can’t understand! Excellent Food and wines at very reasonable prices. The Management and Staff extremely friendly and welcoming. We went back a few days later!

16/11/2024: Met een grotere groep hier neer gestreken ( 9 pers) vooraf het voor- en hoofdgerecht bepaald ( zowel vis als vlees) alles to share, dit om de snelheid er in te houden. Alle gerechten waren smakelijk en rijkelijk en ook de wijnen waren top. Het personeel was uitstekend en wij werden als groep volledig in de watten gelegd. Dus zeker een aanrader.

30/11/2024: Excelente comida con personal servicial y atento. Fuimos aquí 3 veces durante nuestra estancia y no lo recomiendo lo suficientemente alto. Increíble comida marina fresca con un encantador rosado crujiente, me sentí como si estuviéramos en el sur de Francia sin la etiqueta de alto precio.

18/11/2024: Gran comida y muy buen servicio amable. La comida era increíble y a un precio justo. Había una increíble selección de bebidas. Recomendaría 100%. Volveremos.

16/10/2024: Yo y cuatro estimados colegas de negocios estábamos buscando una muestra de local. Encontramos el mejor en Almancil. Este lugar es brillante, por lo que volvemos cada año. Las gambas al ajo y el dorado son increíbles. Date un capricho - ven aquí

16/11/2024: Un encantador restaurante familiar especializado en cocina portuguesa. Muy popular entre los lugareños. Buena selección de mariscos frescos disponibles. Cuidado con los especiales. Tomé un estofado de pulpo que fue increíble. Situado a un par de calles de la parte delantera, pero sin duda vale la pena buscar.

11/01/2025: Short break for us in the port and we ate here twice. The first evening we not went for fish. Amazing size portions and excellent quality food with reasonable prices wines. We enjoyed it so much we went back the following night to try the chateubriand. Did not disappoint.

05/01/2025: Saw the reviews and heard great feedback so visited for dinner. We arrived before 6.30 but they came and welcomed us in just after 6pm. We had the monkfish and prawns with rice which was beautiful and available with shell on or off. We then decided to return on a second visit during our week and had the chateaubriand which was amazing. Service was faultless, food was amazing and excellent value. We met two other couples who had also visited twice during the week.

26/10/2024: What a fantastic place! Food, service, atmosphere all brilliant. Would 100% recommend. Great choice of food - fish choices especially good. Even had the baby Guinness shots👍

25/10/2024: Everything about this place is pretty average. We have been a few times now and the welcome is very average - like customers are a bit of an inconvenience. Not all of them - the guy who took our food order was good. Roof terrace nice views but bar staff not especially welcoming. Went downstairs and sat outside - that barman was excellent. Food is fine but no better than that. If the beach location is important to you, its a good spot but for everything else there a a lot of way better restaurants to visit in Quinta do Lago/Vale de Lobo. We have scrubbed this one off the list now.

08/01/2025: Espaço agradavel, sala bem organizada assim como o serviço de sala e cozinha. Arrisco-me a dizer que todo o menu é atraente e bem conseguido. A carne do lombo é realmente maravilhosa, confecionada no ponto certo e os preços sao bem justos para a qualidade apresentada. 1 restaurante de cozinha portuguesa e genuína, 1 verdadeira joia escondida. A visitar sempre que possivel

20/12/2024: ¡Las recomendaciones de su taxista rara vez son erróneas! Al recogernos de otro restaurante, nuestro conductor dijo que mientras pasábamos por A Floresta, era un buen restaurante y los lugareños comieron allí. El mismo taxista nos llevó y nos recogió anoche donde tuvimos una excelente cena. El menú es portugués y toda la otra zona del mundo consiguió un vistazo, allí Apple Crumble era excelente! Langostinos al ajo para empezar y mi pareja tenía la sopa de tomate casera a la vez excelente y abundante, un escritor anterior aquí había recomendado las chuletas de cordero, gran recomendación y mi pareja tiene kebab que era enorme! El restaurante tenía dos grandes obras cenas de Navidad también y el servicio continuó a un nivel aceptable! Todo fue tan bueno que le hemos pedido a nuestro confiable taxista que regrese esta noche para la última noche de las vacaciones!

10/11/2024: They don’t answer the phone to take bookings. They don’t reply to e mails. Can just turn up on the day and take pot luck. Not good enough You will appreciate our custom in the winter. Not that we will go there ever again. Feel totally let down.

04/11/2024: It’s always difficult when you go to a restaurant for the first time to know whether you have chosen a dish which is ‘representative’ of what the restaurant can do. Such is the dilemma with Izzy’s because the experience was exceptional but the food we chose was distinctly average. This bears explanation, so let’s start with the experience, which was really very good. The restaurant sits adjacent to the beach, it absorbs the laid back vibe you might expect from the natural surroundings. The pounding of waves is part of the soundtrack of the dining experience. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the beach bar feel is reflected in the furnishings and decor. On this mildly wet and dark November evening the place was also warm and cosy. The atmosphere is first class, and there is a comforting hubbub of conversation and laughter which seems to synchronise with the crashing of the waves. So, as I said, as an experience, really very good. We’ve eaten well on this holiday, so looking at the menu the selection of curries provided a welcome diversion from the fare offered by the fish restaurants in the area. However, these were not good curries. My wife ordered the chicken curry and I ordered the monkfish curry. The first inkling we had that maybe curries are not the ‘thing’ here is that the poppodums, which came with our meals were draped over the food…a great way to get the steam off the food to make your poppodums soggy. They were too, absolutely horrible. The curries came with plain rice, which was fine, but the curry sauce was bland, and like something you might get in a coronation chicken sandwich. The chicken and monkfish were themselves ok, but the curry sauce had not penetrated, making for rather a poor dish really. Credit where it is due though, the mango chutney tasted homemade, and is amongst the freshest and tastiest I have ever had…so not all bad then! So to pudding. Try the sorbet with vodka! Served with a sprig of fresh mint and a slice of lime, this was a subtle and engaging way to finish the meal…so simple and yet very good. My wife had the chocolate ice cream which was also very good. So back to the original dilemma, the experience was great, and I am reluctant to overly criticise the food on the basis of what we chose, because maybe…just maybe, they do other food items on the menu much better.

24/10/2024: Nulla da dire rispetto alla qualità del pesce servito pero' e ' caro 2 soute' di vongole 45 € Davvero troppo La location ed il locale non offrono nulla di particolare , il che rinforza la mia opinione relativa al prezzo applicato Piu in generale e non riferito specificatamente a questo ristorante ed a esclusione dei Menù a prezzo fisso ho l'impressione che esistano 2 listini prezzo Locali Turisti Un vero limite ed un vero peccato se fosse davvero così

30/08/2024: Comida bem confecionada, com bastante variedade e qualidade. Óptima relação qualidade preço. Staff muito simpático. Destaque para o arroz de lingueirão e para a raia.

19/09/2024: Muy buen sitio para comerte un buen arroz de marisco en un restaurante local y siempre hasta los topes. Mejor reservar. Pedimos un arroz y una açorda de marisco ... y nos pasamos. Éramos 2 y salimos rodando de la inmensidad de los platos. Recomendamos un entrante y un plato para compartir.
