26/10/2024: Aconselho todos a ver os preços antes de pedir. A comida é boa o atendimento também, mas os preços são exorbitantes. Demasiado caro, sem justificação. Não voltarei.

Diversas vezes já visitei esta marisqueira e fico sempre super satisfeita, desde a recepção, passando pela comida que é sempre deliciosa e com muita qualidade, e não deixando de referir o acompanhamento atencioso do staff. Resultado, uma ótima noite num ótimo espaço. Irei continuar a voltar 😃

22/10/2024: Un sitio muy acogedor, una comida muy bien cuidada y un trato esquisito. Para empezar podeis picar algunos platos de pescado frito o de marisco y despues Pescado a la brasa… para xuparse los dedos!!! He comido en 3 ocasiones y todas muy bien. El servicio muy bueno.

17/10/2024: Vou sempre a este Restaurante. Nunca há surpresas desagradáveis. É excelente no serviço, a grelha está muito bem entregue, e o Sr. Hélder é sempre inexcedível. A qualidade do peixe é irrepreensível e o serviço impecável. Sou recebido sempre como já fazendo parte da família. Recomendo muitíssimo!

05/10/2024: So, just to be clear, I'll state this up front; hands down, the best fish I have ever eaten in an Algarvian restaurant. Ever. So much so, I went back the following night and did it all again. The restaurant is owned by the Portuguese chef and his English wife. This is a chef who really knows what he's doing and buys fresh from the fish market in nearby Portimão daily. Fish is sold by the kilo and each plate is accompanied by vegetables or salad. However, it does mean that one fish is often too much for one person so if you want to experience the best fish, it might be wise to agree on which fish you'd agree to share as he'll only cook a whole fish, not half of one as that could compromise the natural flavours. I was solo, so the only complete fish I could have was Linguado (lemon sole) but I am glad I did because I'd never tasted fish so good. An indication of price by the kilo is Sea Bass and Sea Bream around €55 per kilo and Lemon Sole at €65 per kilo. My fish weighed in at €35 and that was more than enough for one person. I also had home-made vegetable soup to start and an Algarvian delicacy, Carob, Almond and Fig tart to finish, along with a medronho and a expresso coffee. To accompany the fish I had a couple of glasses of the restaurant's own-label house white wine. The bill came to €71 which, considering the outstanding fare, I thought was reasonable. Service is polite and friendly but not in-your-face, which is thoughtful. One thing I noticed was how quickly the restaurant filled up after evening opening - and stayed full almost the whole night. The head waiter was turning away people without a booking and from what I saw over two consecutive nights, booking in advance is essential. It's not a big place; it'll seat around 30 people max. I've raved on about fish here, but meat and vegetarian dishes are also available and they also have a lunch menu. The only problem you could possibly have with this restaurant is being able to get an evening reservation for exactly when you want it.

03/10/2024: For my husband and I this is one of the best restaurants in Ferragudo. We try and visit at least twice during our holiday to Ferragudo, our 8th time. They have a good varied menu, but we like the section where they bring you the very fresh fish on a platter to choose from, Seabsss, Bream, Snapper, Turbot etc. they weigh your choice of fish and tell you the cost, if you are happy with that then it is bbq grilled to perfection. It is truly delicious. They also have a good dessert selection too. Great service and very friendly. You have got to go there 5*

08/11/2024: Muito bom!! A cataplana de marisco é ótima e recomenda imenso. Atendimento exemplar, o espaço muito bem decorado tornando o ambiente bastante agradável.

05/10/2024: Outstanding restaurant! Handwritten menu based on the catch of the day, so you know you are getting the freshest fish. Everything is cooked and seasoned to perfection, and needs no salt or sauces added. The staff were very helpful despite the langauge barrier. Our landlord for our holiday recommends this place, and he is not wrong! Definitely as many if not more Portuguese than tourists, which is always a good sign! If you don't eat fish or meat, you'll not enjoy it, but otherwise you're in for a fabulous meal.

01/10/2024: Peixe , como rodovalho / pargo , é de viveiro , no mar , claro mas aquacultura. Rodovalho a 57.50€ , robalo a 30€ ??? Ambiente tipo tasco , bancos de madeira , incómodos .

23/09/2024: Comida estava boa, funcionária com excesso de à vontade e demasiado intrometida. Achei escandaloso cobrarem 10 euros por cálice de um Porto cuja garrafa custa 20 euros no supermercado. Quando referi que se continuam assim ficarão sem clientes portugueses, nem tentaram justificar. Pedi para falar com o patrão, que não se dignou a vir à nossa mesa, mesmo tendo gasto mais de 200 euros. Nunca mais - não está feito para portugueses normais, apenas para estrangeiros. Se um dia acabar a onda do turismo, ficam sem ninguém.

20/09/2024: Fuimos a comer, tomamos bacalao y pulpo a la brasa acompañado de una ensalada y botella de vino blanco. Riquísimo!! Cuando llegamos estaban asando pimientos que ponen como acompañamiento al plato. No paran de asar a la brasa, y se ve un buen producto El lugar es tranquilo, el camarero pendiente de todo. No pedimos postre. Hubiera sido excesivo. Precio 67.70€

11/10/2024: Wunderbares Restaurant direkt am Hafen im Ort gelegen. Wir hatten den Wolfsbarsch, der auf den Punkt perfekt zubereitet war. Als Dessert nehmt das traditionelle mit Ei - traumhaft. Abgerundet wurde unser Besuch durch die super nette und aufmerksame Bedienung. Sehr, sehr zu empfehlen!

26/09/2024: Super leckeren, frischen Fisch und Meeresfrüchte. Getoppt bzw. ergänzt durch mega liebe und kompetente Bedienung und Beratung. Sollte man nicht verpassen!

27/03/2024: Atendimento muito simpático, comida muito saborosa e fresca, pratos tradicionais sem complicações, vista mar, bom ambiente. Os pratos de peixe e carne na pedra quente são particularmente bons. Já estamos de volta para a Páscoa de 2024 e estamos gostando muito da comida, do serviço e de todos os acompanhamentos. Que bom que está tão bom de novo agora!

25/10/2024: Fantastic lunch! Fresh halibut was perfectly grilled and we were lucky enough to have the cooked fish presented and served while she told us the story behind how her family uses a special fire to enhance the flavor and showcase the quality. If you are in Almada please give them a try.

05/11/2024: Me recomendaron este restaurante en una visita anterior y después de leer las críticas positivas decidí darle una oportunidad para el almuerzo. Lo positivo... pequeño restaurante íntimo con una carta amplia y variada y excelente selección de vinos. Pedí el pescado de bacalao a la parrilla y una copa de vino blanco de la casa que se sirvió helado y una copa de vino de tamaño decente. Como era de esperar la comida tomó tiempo ya que se cocinó fresco. Sin embargo, empecé a preocuparme un poco cuando vi al chef sacar el filete de bacalao de la parrilla y ponerlo en un microondas. Las papas trituradas también se calentaron en el microondas. Luego el chef vertió lo que se hizo evidente como cebollas fritas completas con aceite por todo el pescado. Cuando llegó la placa estaba nadando en aceite. ¡No estoy seguro de que las cebollas fritas sean un acompañamiento regular para el pescado a la parrilla! La porción de bacalao debía ser justa una porción de buen tamaño, sin embargo, en lugar de ser suave y escamosa, era muy gomosa y carecía de sabor, presumiblemente debido a que estaba nuclearizada en un microondas. Comí un poco de pescado, pero para ser honesto era escéptico de que estuviera completamente cocinado. El personal estaba demasiado ocupado en sus teléfonos para darse cuenta de que había terminado. El chef lo hizo y trató de llamar la atención del servidor. En resumen, definitivamente no estuvo a la altura de las expectativas y las críticas de 5 estrellas.

28/10/2024: Primeiro e última vez que jantamos neste restaurante Ambiente esta bem mas paella do tinto de choco era péssimo,arroz mal cozido, não havia nenhum camarão inteiro nao descansado como era na fotografia . Miolo de camarão congelado Tivemos má experiência

06/10/2024: We have just left the Atlantic restaurant, we both had the most amazing meal, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Fantastic setting. A fabulous choice of dishes, cater for all tastes. We had Duck & lamb, absolutely delicious, the flavours were sublime, extremely well presented. We opted for dessert, lemon meringue & the crumble. Again, the taste of both desserts were amazing, all made in the restaurant The staff, are extremely polite, full focus on the customer without being over the top. A hidden gem in the monumental/ Lido area, we will be back before we head home. Best food ever

03/10/2024: We have been coming to Funchal for many years and this is not the first time we have eaten at Atlantico but it's been the best. The food was awesome but the customer service was far and above anything else we have experienced in Madeira for a long time. The staff, from reservations, to front of house, to water waiter (telling us it was a good 2024 vintage), to our waiter, advising we had enough vegetables (he was correct). The whole team were friendly, attentive, professional and exuded a warmth that made the night special. Many restaurants and bars should visit here to see how it can be done. Bravo Atlantico xxx

We walked in for lunch and it was the best food we had tried in Porto, which is not an easy thing to do, the food in Porto in general is amazing, but this was at another level. The service was incredible and we received the warmest welcome. I can’t recommend this place enough

19/09/2024: Incredible restaurant! I was here by self for business and walking the Ribiera and spotted Tera Nova. Sat down with intention to have some wine but turned into me order a full meal. Mimi went out of her way to find me a spot she felt best for me (which it was - outside facing the water) as I was by myself. Had a great white wine, ox carpaccio, the codfish pasta, and then cheesecake and port wine. Helton and Cecilia served and both were extremely kind and honest with recommendations. Felt very homey for someone being far away from home and very kind people who did not annoy but talked for a while to tell me more about their city, food, and beverages. Fantastic experience, would recommend to all. The cod pasta was insanely good.
