04/10/2024: No one was here, but we arrived at 5:30pm😉 We were received warmly, had a beautiful table for 2, ordered the fresh bread and garlic dip, amazing!!!! We ordered our entree/ seared tuna, prepared to perfection with a wonderful salad. Service was superb as was our meal. After dining, of course the place was filling up. We felt special being there early, however I imagine any time you arrive you will be well received! Great dinner, I would highly recommend this place:)

04/11/2024: Un très bel accueil Des produits frais de qualité (on a adoré le concept associant le poissonnier et le restaurateur) Un cadre exceptionnel pour un repas (o mercado) Un service et écoute client au Top Et surtout un service avec beaucoup d’humour , d’échange et de chaleur (Comme à la maison) Un Très Grand « Obrigado » a Ricardo Afonso et toute l’équipe José (Do Alentejo) et les « olhos azuis »

01/11/2024: They trested us very bad and asked a lot more for a lobster (155 instead 55 €). The service was also very bad. Don‘t come here… the place is also very ugly and dirty… 🤬😡

14/09/2024: We went on the advice of friends and were not disappointed. There is no menu here - just all you can eat grilled fresh fish, accompanied by bread, salad and a kind of bread based puree which we initially thought was aubergine but was lovely either way. A plate of mixed fish arrives and when you have eaten another comes and so on until you decide you have had enough ! Simple but very nice and very fresh food. Desserts were also fine. We would return without a doubt.

13/10/2024: Wir waren heute zum zweiten Mal dort ...und haben noch 11 Tage Urlaub vor uns! Sind bestimmt nicht zum letzten Mal dort gewesen. Super leckere Speisen (Fisch, Hase, Rind, Brownie oder Erdbeeren mit Eis), sehr freundliches und spaßiges Person und absolut faire Preise (Gerichte in großer Portion inkl. Beilage für ca. 16 Euro, 0,5 l Bier 3,50, Poncha frisch gemacht 3,60, Glas Hauswein 3,60 Euro). Absolut zu empfehlen! Nachtrag 13.10.2024: Also wir waren jetzt 5 Mal in zwei Wochen dort. Es war immer gleich lecker und das Personal war auch immer gleich freundlich. Die machen ihre Sache absolut gerne und das schmeckt man und man fühlt sich immer wohl. Besonders empfehlen wir den Degenfisch mit Banane, den Lachs mit Früchten-Topping (eine Wahnsinngs-Kombi) und das Thunfischsteak. Auch der Hase ist super lecker. Es dauert nur ein bisschen ihn zu Essen, weil Knochen mit drin sind. Als Nachtisch unbedingt den warmen Schoko-Brownie mit Vanilleeis. Der Kellner liebt seine Erdbeeren und bietet diese jeden Abend jedem Kunden an. Er freut sich total, wenn man ja sagt :-). Die frischen Fische des Tages sehen auch immer super aus, hatten wir aber nicht. Der Poncha ist einer der besten den wir hatten. Hinweis: Manche Fotos stammen noch vom alten Lokal. Am neuen Standort sieht es deutlich "hübscher" aus. Alles tippi-toppi!!!

20/09/2024: We had googled the restaurant which said it was tapas, but when we got there it wasn't but that's OK, looked a nice restaurant. Was busy and they found us a table for 2. Luckily we weren't that hungry when we arrived. Service was soooooo slow, it took nearly an hour to take our food order, looked like a lot of other tables were also waiting, we couldn't work out if there wasn't enough waiting staff or they trying to not put too many orders through to the kitchen. We tried to catch the waiters eye but felt ignored. Tables around us started joking about how long it was taking. The food when it finally arrived was just OK.

06/09/2024: Maravilhoso! Que delícia de comida, fomos tão bem servidos, num espaço pequeno, mas muito bem apresentado, decoração, staff, enfim... nada, mesmo nada a apontar. Tudo o que provámos ficou aprovadissimo! Recomendamos a experiência a quem visitar Sesimbra! Bem hajam, muitas felicidades e sucesso a toda a equipa O Zagaia!

06/09/2024: Uma agradável surpresa que combina sabores tradicionais do mar com inovação, atenção e simpatia sem serem impositivos. Como um bom restaurante deve ser. Destaco os croquetes de choco, surpreendentes de diferentes e o arroz de carabineiro.

10/10/2024: Prompt attention on arrival. - no booking required Escorted to table which was beautifully set. Varied menu to suit all tastes. Both starter and mains were delivered within an acceptable time scale, good quality produce and ample amounts. We had to ask some 30 mins later for the dessert menu. Staff were too busy relaying tables and as sitting in the corner we felt rather neglected. The same happened when waiting for the bill - we ended up going to the bar on leaving and paying on exit. The issue was raised with the staff member who apologised and said she would look into their serving regime. Other wise it’s a glorious restaurant with full view of the beach and hillside. Well worth a visit and we will certainly return again as we ate here on our last visit to Porto Santo!

13/10/2024: Stopped for cocktails one afternoon and decided to head into the restaurant after. I ordered salmon and my husband had the sea bass. Service was very good and the waitress was very friendly. Food was well presented and absolutely delicious. Will visit again on our next Portugal trip.

01/09/2024: Atendimento excelente por parte dos serventes de mesa Andreia e Iudénia sempre muito atenciosas e prestáveis e com extrema preocupação quanto ao conforto dos clientes , em termos de refeição qualidade excelente comida servida nas doses ideais e muito saborosa, especial atenção nas sobremesas que são também elas de um nível excepcional

28/08/2024: Outstanding service. One of the nicest and accommodating staff I've ever experienced. Leticia and Andrici were amazing. I'm from the restaurant industry and I can tell that their training and hospitality skills shined and they made our experience exceptional.

26/10/2024: Of all the restaurants we ate in after spending a week in Nazare, this was my favorite! Great food, great value (10 euro bottle of Douro Valley wine), great service. Seafood is their specialty; fish stews seemed a popular favorite. Our grilled bream and steak were delicious—and the salad was not an afterthought! Highly recommend.

11/10/2024: Tolles Restaurant. Sehr nette Kellner Unterhaltung erfolgt in einem Gemisch aus portugiesisch-spanisch-englisch. Essen war sehr gut, der Hauswein von guter Qualität und sehr freundlich. Preis-Leistung absolut OK

30/10/2024: This might be the single best restaurant I’ve experienced. It’s a beautiful little place with impeccable service and incredible food. The octopus is the best I’ve ever had - tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The langostino, grilled sea bass, and seafood rice were also awesome. Paired with glasses of wine selected by a gentleman named Rui and the sommelier- it was a perfect evening. Can’t recommend this place more.

23/10/2024: Tem daqueles restaurantes inesquecíveis? Foi esse, nesta viagem ! Um ar mais refinado, peixes e frutos do mar mais frescos do que em bar da beira da praia! O próprio dono nos atendeu, com sua equipe eximiamente treinada. Foi, sem dúvidas, um dos melhores pescados que já comi. Carta de vinhos excelente. Vale à pena reservar e comer bem nesse lugar.

26/09/2024: Außergewöhnlich gutes Restaurant mit Gerichten aus dem Alentejo. Umfangreiche Speisekarte, schönes Restaurant, gute Bedienung. Auch Gerichte, die man ansonsten selten bekommt. Alles sehr, sehr gut. Sehr sauber und chic. Personal sehr zuvorkommend, sehr umfangreiche Weinkarte. Ein alles in allem tolles Erlebnis. Wir kommen wieder.

19/09/2024: A Portuguese restaurant serving primarily a local clientele. Brilliant food and delicious and inexpensive regional wines. Wonderful service. We had a memorable evening.

19/08/2024: Comida sem sabor Fomos almoçar a este estabelecimento num domingo e a experiência não foi nada positiva. Pedimos ovos rotos como entrada e uma espetada à lobo do mar como prato principal. Infelizmente, a espetada foi dececionante, apresentava um aspeto muito duvidoso e o sabor era inexistente, os camarões também não tinham bom aspeto, esfarelando-se na boca de forma desagradável. Acabamos por comer muito pouco, temendo até experimentar as sobremesas. Por outro lado, o staff foi muito agradável e o espaço é bem decorado, o que torna o ambiente acolhedor. O preço final de cerca de 65,00 € para duas pessoas, sem sobremesas. Uma experiência que, infelizmente, não nos deixou vontade de repetir.

19/10/2024: What an amazing place to eat. Went twice on our 5 day stay in Albufeira. The food was amazing and traditional Portuguese. The cod fish cakes were tasty, the seafood platter amazing with the prawns being the star of the show and the francesinha was off the hook amazing. The owner Ines is so nice and takes the time to talk with everyone and has so much passion for the food. The server Luan also takes the time to chat and gives a great service. Will is also very friendly and its nice to see a couple of youngsters work hard and take the time to chat. The overall enjoyment and pride of everyone here makes it a must visit in Albufeira.
