Fancied a Chinese and decided to try this restaurant. Was able to get a table without booking & served by staff quickly. Food we ordered was quick to arrive & tasted good. The restaurant filled up whilst we were in & by the time we left, others were queuing out the door, waiting for a table. Reasonably priced too.

Duck pancakes were nice, chicken with cashews was very tasty. Prawn fried rice was bland and the crispy peking style beef wasn’t great, more batter than beef. Food came out quickly but staff never checked on us after that, we were chasing them for more drinks. Overall you could do worse, food is fine, but not amazing.

03/09/2024: Um dos restaurantes chineses do Algarve. A comida é fantástica e de grande valor para a localização. Reserve com antecedência e tente um assento na janela. Precisa reservar na alta temporada, mas caminhe até o final de março. Excelente equipe simpática que conhece seu negócio. Uma visita obrigatória se você estiver na área.

Chinese Gourmet

18/07/2024: I've had a craving for good Chinese food in the Algarve, not easy, especially in East Algarve. Well, we went last night to Chinese Gourmet and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered a cross section of vegetarian and seafood, all were good and creative. We were told that they make everything from scratch and the food had a freshness we enjoyed. Also, want to acknowledge that service was excellent, above most restaurants. Will be returning shortly... the only issue was wished it was in Tavira or nearby, but it's worth the journey. If you like excellent Chinese food, go soon.
07/07/2024: I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Chinese Gourmet, and it was an experience to remember. The Chinese Gourmet offers a delightful blend of authentic Chinese cuisine and a welcoming atmosphere. The food was excellent. This restaurant is a must-visit.
