We were a group of 18 British cyclists, riding the N2 from Chaves to Faro, and we stopped the night in Tondela. The hotel recommended this restaurant, and we booked. We were not disappointed. This is a family-run restaurant, and the daughter, Carolina, speaks good English. We also had two coeliacs in our group, who had to eat gluten free. They gave us some options and we chose in advance, to make their job easier. The food was wonderful. Caroline tried very hard to look after us, and did an amazing job. Everyone had plenty to eat and left the table full. The coeliacs were well catered for, and ate risk-free. We cannot recommend them highly enough. We will certainly eat here again on our next visit to Tondela.
