Restaurante Tulipa em Portimão

09/11/2024: My wife and I were looking forward to dining here after a great experience last year. We started with the couvert, the tuna pate being especially delicious. For main courses my wife plumped for the Beef Cheeks which she said were very nice whereas I went for the Sirloin Steak. Although edible with a nice sauce,, it was let down by being a little tough. With house red wine and one beer the bill came to 67 euros. Unlike last year, we did not receive a free port at the end of the meal. Service was very good but there was a lot of noisy revelry from groups of golfers. Overall, this was a good night let down by the tough steak.

29/10/2024: We had two lovely dinners at aTASCAdo during our stay in Alvor. One evening we couldn't go to the rooftop due to the rain, but the ambiance was inside was very warm and inviting. The second evening we were able to sit upstairs and it was perfect! The service was impeccable on both evenings and the food was excellent. The fish soup is to die for - best we've ever had! Salad, Portuguese steak and prawns were all wonderful. The marinated olives have a wonderful unique flavor - different from other couvert we've had in Alvor. We really enjoyed this dining venue and will return next year!
