Restaurante Monte da Virgem em Vila Nova de Gaia

We went here yesterday to have lunch. It was 13:00 and surprisingly no tables were available. We must wait for a table to sit. It was about 10 minutes of waiting and we got our table. We paid 22.10 euros for two francesinha, 1 batata fritas, and 1 ice tea. It was a bit pricey. I can find cheaper in Porto. Cons 1. I was about to complain about the internet connection. I could not use my internet data nor the WiFi of the restaurant. I had to go outside to reply to my clients to get a better internet connection several times because I was an online customer service. 2. The service is a bit slow. Please, be prepared. 3. The meat of my francesinha was still so red and bloody. They should ask how the meat should be cooked. I ended up removing my meat from the francesinhas. The sauce is a little bit too much tomatoes. Francesinha costs 9 euros without fried potatoes. 4. The restaurant needs some modernisation on the furniture. The chair was not so comfortable for sitting. Pros 1. Free parking accessible in front of the restaurant. 2. Payment in cash or multibanco. 3. They sell economic food - prato do dia 8 euros for lunch. It is in limited quantity. They did not have a Verdinhos dish already when we arrived at 13:00 4. They serve local Portuguese food. We had two plates of francesinha yesterday. 5. Friendly and nice staff. 6. Even though the location is a little bit far from the main road, they have good numbers of clients. It is located in front of Monte da Virgem Church in Vila Nova de Gaia.
