Restaurante Maritur em Albufeira

22/08/2024: I'm quite surprised at some of the 5 star reviews on here. For an 'authentic Italian' restaurant the pizzas we had were anything but. Having arrived in record time after ordering, it was pretty obvious and later indirectly confirmed by the manager that the pizza bases are mass produced and not freshly made. The pizzas had the apperance of something you'd make at home under the grill. In fairness, mine filled a gap, but my wife's was undercooked, the pre made base obviously not cooked through and i doubt either offering had seen the inside of an authentic pizza oven. Eventually we spoke to the manager who was polite and courteous and eventually offered a refund for one pizza which was very fair in the circumstances.

17/08/2024: Outstanding spot for lunch or dinner. On a 10 day stay in Albufeira we dined here 3 times which is unheard of for us. Traditional Italian cuisine cooked so so well. The lasagne is divine, the best we've had outside Italy & top 3 ever! They don't skimp on service here either, the staff are very attentive without being in your face. The house red is amazing, I've added a photo cos I know I'll spell it wrong. Go early to avoid the queues. 7.30 pm seemed to be the sweet spot. They cater for children too including the all important chicken nuggets and chips but smaller portions of bolognese etc are also available. The fried aubergine is a must too & the burrata cheese with the ravioli is just 🤌 in my opinion, the best Italian in Albufeira.
