Restaurante Guest House Cantinho D'Avó em Esposende

We had actually been booked to stay in this guest house (now called SISU) which is in a good location in the town. We arrived at lunchtime - too early for 3pm check in - so we had lunch on the terrace at the back of the restaurant while we waited for our room. We had walked 15km from Povoa de Varzim so we were thirsty and hungry. We saw the people at the next table having the sushi and sashimi (not on the menu) so we had that and it was excellent. The breakfast the next morning was good as well. Our room on the second floor was compact, clean, bright and modern like the restaurant and had a large glass window over the entire side wall which could only be opened about 10cm (for safety I suppose). The curtain was not adequate to darken the room in the morning. This place feels like it is in transition from one style of place to another or in new ownership perhaps - it doesn't quite know what it is. Is it a bar/lounge, trendy restaurant, hotel, guest house...
