Restaurante 4 à mesa em São Brás de Alportel

20/10/2024: Once we found this place we booked in every night until the end of our holiday- there is nowhere to beat it. Folk say its pricey, but every night we had the full Couvert - 2 x mains plus cheeseboard for 2, bottle of wine and couple beers for €85! What!! We couldn't believe our luck! The food is truly excellent in a lovely setting. If we'd been here longer we'd have gone through the whole menu! As it was I had all the fish and hubby had steak. A delight of a place. There is no question about it, if you want great food, go here. Don't bother looking anywhere else

25/09/2024: We were recommended this restaurant by the owner of the villa we were staying in. It is so lovely. From the outside when it is closed belies what a beautiful restaurant it is inside. Very romantic, and lovely atmosphere with gentle jazz in the background. As for the food. Every course from the convert to the dessert was amazing and the presentation was outstanding. It was the highlight of our week. The service was excellent with the two waitresses speaking much better English than our sad efforts at Portuguese. This is a special treat restaurant as the food is more expensive than your average, but compared to English restaurants it was still very reasonable. As per most establishments in rural Portugal it is cash only.
