Ol' Bastard's em Lagos

A little awkward to find, it seems Google maps doesn't like the small passages in Lagos. Anyway, it's worth the effort, I had the English fish and chips, and my wife had the Australian version. Both were delicious, and we look forward to going again.

I’m a real advocate for this eatery, having not been for a couple of years I was looking forward to another fabulous experience. All was well, I ordered the fish tacos and my wife fish and chips. Great service up until this point. Our plates arrived, my fish tacos had been made with soft tortilla wraps not taco shells, the meal was decent but would expect this to be highlighted to me at the point of ordering if no taco shells available, just saying. Secondly we witnessed a really uncomfortable situation that didn’t directly affect us. Two young ladies had been sat at a table for 6, Im assuming the staff had placed them there, the restaurant became busy and the waiter needed to accommodate a table of 5 with only tables for two available. The waiter uprooted the two young girls mid meal and asked if they would mind moving to free the larger table. Bless the girls, they carried their meals over and accepted the table for two, pretty poor policy in my view no matter how much they insisted they didn’t object. If nothing else I would expect the staff to carry the meals over and ensure they are settled in their new position, In actual fact the staff had more concerns over relaying the table that had become free. It’s a competitive market, value your customers would be my best advice.
