Jardim da Vila em Alcobaça

The food here is super excellent, and the staff are friendly and always helpful. I've been coming here for over a year, and the food is always superb. I had the carbonara pasta the last time I was there, and I'm still dreaming about it - cannot wait to go back to order it again. The steak is always amazing too. Really, everything I've tried here is yummy. The walls are decorated by beautiful art painted by the chef's mother!

Yesterday we were in restaurant “Jardim da Vila”, it is not the first time that we have had lunch there, as the cook is “a Belgian” like us, and we do not know any other restaurant in Portugal with a Belgian chief. For us it is not the first time that we have had dinner there. We both had mushroom toast as a starter, than scampies in lobster sauce with croquettes and once “Sirlion steak” with a roquefort sauce and fries, all with a fresh Belgian beer, as dessert a “Dame Blanche” and a coffee. The food served is of exceptionally good quality and at democratic prices. We drive 300 km there and back because it is more than worth it for us. Yesterday the restaurant was completely filled with “Belgians”, which is proof that the food can be delicious, no need for a drawing. So highly recommended for Belgians in Portugal, preferably reserve a table in time and enjoy a Belgian beer.
