Churrasqueira Valdemar em Silves

Decent restaurant located only a couple of minutes walk from the wonderful town of Silves. When we went, it was quite busy, but we were able to get a table within a couple of minutes of waiting. What I loved was that you could see the food being cooked on the barbecue in front of your eyes, so you know you are getting fresh food. They operate on a set menu basis, in which you get a starter, main course and a drink and dessert for only €10. The starter consisted of bread and olives. The main courses that you could choose from were BBQ chicken, mix of grilled meat (homemade sausage and pork steak), a grilled fillet steak or grilled fish of the day (mackerel and sardines). dessert included small pieces of fresh seasonal fruits. Just to mention that all of the main courses include french fries and salad and rice. The set menu price rises to €11 for the grilled meat and steak. BBQ chicken and fish stay at €10. The food was quite good and you will not be hungry after the amount of food that you get. The BBQ chicken was very good and was falling off the bone. The mixed grill however was OK but not spectacular. The pork sausage was very nice, but the pork steak for me was inedible and it was quite salty as well. The rice and fries and even the salad were all very good though, and also the fact that starters and desserts were included made this quite a good spot for lunch. If I could on Tripadvisor, I would give this place 4.5 stars out of 5. I'm only knocking a star off here for the dish that I got. The next time, I will probably get the BBQ chicken or the fish. Other than that, I would still recommend for everyone to try this place. Quite cheap for a barbecue restaurant. A must visit if you are in the area.

Man kann an der Algarve 2024 noch authentisch und preislich günstig essen: hier bei Valdemar in Silves. Es gibt drei Menus und hat von der Vorspeise über Hauptspeise, Salat und einen kleinen Nachtisch alles dabei. Gerne immer Wieder und eine Wohltat zu den hochpreisigen Restaurants an der Küste.
