Churasqueira Alentejana em Almada

05/07/2024: We arrived early for lunch, were warmly welcomed and invited to have a drink before the restaurant opened for business. Our table was on a rooftop terrace overlooking the ocean and giving shelter from the breeze. The food was authennntic, plentiful and mostly well cooked and well presented. My co-diners all had Sea Bass which was theatrically'carved' at the table by our very entertaining waiter. As a non-fish eater I had chicken which was a little dry but very tasty nontheless. All the staff were warm and welcoming and made our last day in Portugal a memorable one. I would recommend this restaurant for a tasty and inexpensive lunch and am surprised at the number of negative reviews - this certainly wasn't our experience.

03/07/2024: We were a group of four visitors who arrived before they opened for lunch. We were sat on a table out the front and enjoyed some coffees or beers. As we entered we passed the display of fish choices and the young lady helped us with our seafood options. Sitting up on the terrace gave great views and a pleasant breeze. The two waiters should be doing stand-up as they joked with us and together. The sea bass was delicious and moist. Helder, the waiter, served it out with aplomb. He advised a lovely wine to match. It was our last meal in Portugal before flying home. The staff were so warm, that when we were leaving, they encouraged us to return on our next visit. We assured them we would definitely do so and thanked them for a pleasant meal and their great service.
