Cervejaria Cascata em Ribeira Grande

15/10/2024: We tried this restaurant as it was within walking distance of our accommodation and it seemed fine at first - good number of locals eating, decent range on the menu, competitive prices. We ordered the moray eel, a special fish dish (cannot recall what is was anymore) and the quail - as we wanted to try more, the waitress suggested we could get half portions of the latter two. The moray eel was special and fairly nice - we did expect it to be a bit bony so not a problem. The special fish dish tasted of very little and was a bit plain. As for the quail, it was tiny, two bites and you had bone left. We also ordered a passion fruit favoured Kima which was nice. When we asked for the bill, we are a little surprised to find that the half portions attracted around 80-85% of the full portion list price.

23/08/2024: Buena comida casera. Tanto el plato de carne como el de pescado estaba muy bueno. Las raciones son muy generosas. Servicio mucho mas rápido que la media del resto de restaurantes de la isla. Recomendable.
