Cantinho dos Bragança em Porto

26/09/2024: We arrived before 6pm and had to wait for 35 minutes to be seated. So worthy the wait! We sat outside, overlooking the river with a lovely view of Villa de Gaia and the boat traffic on the river. The food was interesting and really delicious. The house wine was good. The staff were friendly, well informed and efficient. The value overall was terrific. This was a highlight of a delightful visit to Porto.

25/09/2024: This place is popular. We ended up having to queue 30 to 40 minutes to get a table inside the restaurant. That said, the staff manage this process efficiently and allocate everyone a queue number. You can also order drinks while you wait. Once inside, service is friendly and efficient. We didn't need to wait long for our order to be taken and the food served. The cod skin chips were excellent. Really crunchy and served warm. I ordered a cod for my main, which was cooked perfectly and served with a few giant chips. My wife ordered the pork iberico. This was served with rice in a paella-like dish. The pork was well cooked but, to us, lacked a sauce to give the dish some more flavour, but this might be personal preference. Overall, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.
