Atlântico em Lagos

04/10/2024: I’ve been here two times before, and each time I was underwhelmed. My wife and I moved from the States to Lagos about two years ago, and were looking for local Portuguese cuisine, at a reasonable price. One of our good friends, a UK Expat invited us to join him and a friend for dinner, suggesting the garlic prawns. While I was hesitant, based upon my two previous visits, I wanted to give them another chance. My first impression was that the overhead lighting was as bright as an operating room Just dimming the lighting would go a long way to improve the dining experience. Our wait person was friendly, knowledgeable and experienced. I looked at their online menu before arriving and decided upon the fried baby squid. We had learned that normally, fried means sautéed. Sounded perfect. Except for the wine, pretty much everything was disappointing. My squid arrived lukewarm, with almost no flavor, and tough to chew. The garlic shrimp were simply okay. Not terrible, and certainly not a dish I would order again. Still, I had a great evening, enjoying the company of our friends. I cannot recommend the restaurant, based upon three dining experiences. You can do so much better in Lagos.

03/10/2024: Bonnes grillades mais la cuisine n’est pas à la hauteur de la réputation de l’établissement. Les accompagnements sont de piètre qualité (Riz Uncle Bens et Frites McCain) accueil convenable. En résumé, il ne s’agit pas d’un incontournable
