We loved our food and meeting Ana! She knew who I was when I walked in the door and my name was on the table! Hello from Jim!
Consigliatissimo.
Cibo squisito, cucina e servizio eccezionali.
Wonderful location in the streets of Évora with incredible atmosphere, service, wine and food. Local wines and products. Food is freshly cooked in plain view in the restaurant, desserts are made by the mother of the host. We went there both nights we spent in Évora as there was just no way we would go elsewhere.
Superb food, lovely staff - what's not to like???
Took a flyer on this place (well not quite - reviews were very good) and I can confirm the reviews are accurate.
I had one of the best meals I've ever eaten there.
Small family run place (mother, son (Miguel - chef) and grandson (Juan - service ) make you feel like you're one of the family that just happened to drop by for dinner)
Every course (soup, mains and dessert) was unique and outstanding.
Miguel came out and explained each dish and then went and made fabulous flavours .
We ordered the soup of the day (pea and cilantro), the magic mountain mushrooms ( gotta try them! not magic mushrooms but darn close) and the shrimp with mustard and honey (gone and went to heaven) accompanied by a lovely white wine (Flor de Sal) and finished by dessert cakes) made by mom. Each dish was totally enjoyable - only wish I/we had more capacity to try more but alas no :-(.
Cannot recommend this restaurant enough.
