Abrigo do Pescador em Peniche

Read the reviews but we took a chance because I liked the look of the restaurant. Went here on a cold wet evening, immediately it was the look & ambience of the restaurant that got my attention it looked so inviting. Owner was excellent we were so welcomed he spoke fluent English & helped us order. Wine recommendation ( house red wine ) excellent. I had beef in mushroom sauce delicious my husband had steak with pepper sauce very tasty. I loved the chips homemade… real potatoes. Could not fault this restaurant, don’t know why anyone would it a bad review, nicest meal we have had out in 3 weeks in Portugal
