23/06/2025: This is, without a doubt, one of my top five restaurants in all of Portugal—and it’s owned by two of my dearest friends in the country, Vítor and Nelli.
I first discovered this exceptional restaurant during my initial visit to Nazaré, and it’s been a favorite ever since. The seafood served here is always incredibly fresh, caught the very same day. You’ll find a rotating selection of the finest local fish—Seabass, Robalo, Seabream, Grouper, Red Snapper, and occasionally other delightful surprises, depending on the day’s catch. As a starter, I highly recommend the clams—rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious.
The ambiance is warm and inviting, with the charm of a family home. And indeed, it is just that. Every photo, symbol, and artifact adorning the walls and ceiling tells the story of this family-owned establishment, passed down through generations.
No matter what you order, you’re in for a fantastic meal. Vítor is always happy to help select the perfect wine to complement your dish.
If you find yourself in Nazaré, make sure to visit—whether for lunch or dinner. And when you do, be sure to tell them Johnny Portugall sent you!
